View Full Version : Ron Paul Wise To Distance Himself From Vote Fraud Controversy

Some may have felt betrayed or discouraged by Ron Paul’s official statement re early primary vote fraud where he says that he does not encourage it, got the number of votes that he was expecting in New Hampshire and does not suspect wrong doing.
To me, this is just smart politics and one does have to play the game.
For Dr Paul to come out with a challenge on the vote count could easily be viewed by many as indcative of a “conspiracy theorist” state of mind and could only hurt the campaign.
Those who do suspect vote fraud, including yours truly, are already on board with Dr Paul and he won’t lose any support from us because we know the bigger picture and what is at stake.
Those who don’t have the ability to confront evil sufficient to understand that there was vote fraud will only be turned off by such assertions.
And with Kucinich already getting the process for a recount started there is no reason whatsoever for Dr Paul to add his voice to the process since it is already going forward.
One has to give Dr Paul the slack to do what he needs to do in order to win in a very dirty game.
And continue to fully support him as our last best hope for America.

Kuchinich can only get the Democrat votes recounted. Thanks should go to Howard for starting the recount for Republican votes. I basically agree with your premise--there is no reason for Dr. Paul to personally be involved with this, since the count is going to be redone. However, Howard has very few supporters--he will need the help of Paul's supporters to oversee the vote counting to make sure it is done as fairly as possible.

Has Obama gone on record to say anything about the recount?

After all, he should be the one complaining.

Who are you and why are you setting the frame of us being betrayed from Ron?

Some may have felt betrayed or discouraged by Ron Paul? Who is "some"?

Nice try buddy.

A google news search for 'Obama vote recount' has shown me that he hasn't even addressed the issue.

I know "some" - those who worked very hard in bitter cold and those whose votes may have been missed. It is very discouraging to have done all that work and have it marginalized and then inferred as insignificant. It is enraging to think that ones actual vote is missing and that one has no voice in the electoral process. While I agree with the full post that we need to move on and let others take on the vote-fraud monster, I also, am understanding of frustrations being termed as such

I met Garko on the road. He is a Ron Paul supporter.

There doesn't seem to be anything to suggest vote fraud at all... and I think Dr. Paul explained his position very well. There is no reason for a recount, and I predict that after the recount there will be no major change in the tally. I say we owe the staff in NH a big Thank You for all their hard work, and it's on to MI and NV to win... NH is in the past now.

it is ELECTION fraud, not VOTE fraud. they are trying to steal the ELECTION, not just the votes.

I totally disagree with Ron Paul's position on the New Hampshire vote fraud. If I was Paul I would've held a press conference with Paul voters of SUTTON, NEW HAMPSHIRE asking for a recount. It would've given people the perception that Paul actually cares about a fair process as well as votes casted for him being counted. During that same press conference Paul should've challenged Obama to demand a recount and if Obama didn't ask for a recount make Obama's suppoters question their candidate. One too many times Paul has dropped the Paul to capitalize off of a situation that would benefit his campaign.

So what about the recount by Kucinich and the other guy?

Are those results made public and do they include the percentages
of all candidates - or what could a recount reveal?
