How can this guy be on the ballot for the Repub nomination and I've never heard of him before he offered to get the recount done? Are there other candidates I haven't heard of?

Yes in NH there were 20 candidates on both republican and demicratic sides. Its unlikely that people know who they are. The votes he DID get were probably from close friends or people dissatisfied with their choices who didn't know about Ron Paul.
