While browsing youtube I came across this two part vid in which the World Federalists Association are honoring Walter Cronkite back in 1999. I found it very disturbing to say the least.

Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrZFxzzJ-dI
Cronkite describes the needs and the goals for World Government. Including convincing sovereign nations to give up some sovereignty to the world government. "We Americans are going to have to yield some of our sovereignty. Thats going to be to many a bitter pill."

Part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRVQEJEOxJI
Cronkite continues his speech. At the end Hillary congratulates him on his award and expresses her appreciation of his work. Micheal Douglas also makes an appearance but is cut off.

"We Americans are going to have to yield some of our sovereignty. Thats going to be to many a bitter pill."

wow. What an absurd notion. And they try to call Dr. Paul "radical". I'd call giving up our nation a more "radical" idea.

Konkrite offers a Hobson's choice between "governance" and wars. No, thanks, buddy, I'll take neither!

They talk about "governance". I believe they adopted this atrocious word because it doesn’t specify an agent or implies there exists none. “Government” is only partly abstract. The word points, ultimately, at least partly, to people. Appointed officials and judges. Elected representatives and executives. It is possible (at least in theory) to “throw the bums out”, to change the government. IN a sense, you can’t really change "governance". It is something that happens to you that the way they define it, you have no real choice over. They want people to resign themselves to it (however it's defined) and feel it's something they can't change.
