CNN reported that $40M was spent on Iowa caucus TV ads or an estimated $150 for every caucus vote. Obama spent $9M, Clinton $7.2M, Edwards $3.2M, Romney $7M, Huckabee $1.4M, and Thompson $1.1M. There was no mentions of Ron Paul's spending in the article. Does anyone know for comparison purposes?
I was surprised that Huckabee and Thompson had so much to spend on just TV ads. Huckabee also has a nice bus. I haven't seen that kind of money in his past quarterly reports. Where does it come from?
