Alot of neocons seem to have vested interests in the military-industrial complex. They need to know that we are NOT aiming to dismantle the military and stop spending money on research for new weapons technologies. Awesome tactic!!!

Ah sweet. I'll have to use that on my neo-con mother. She is a high-level executive at a massive "defense" contractor 8(

I've always thought it sounded cool, too. Do you think it sounds tough enough to Neo-cons? I'll definitely try it out...

My site explains how RP will "strengthen defense" and "increase national security" and "improve the military" but "armed neutrality" is good too.

We can actually spend more on high tech weaponry if we are not spread out across the globe.

Just think of the giant freaking lasers we could build!!!

he need's to introduce that term to the public next time he gets a chance!

that's a bad ass way of putting it! "I would support a National Defense policy of Armed Neutrality, much like most people practice in their own homes"

Yes I like that phrase also, it is strong, concise and clear. It makes us sound more like the Swiss. Nobody has had the nerve to mess with the Swiss for a very long time. (Don't they each have a machine gun in their house). (recall Hitler just kinda left them out of it all).

Neutral but armed to the teeth. That may help those guys who think RP would be wimpy on national security.

Another few words that have converted many.

We need armed neutrality otherwise we risk a draft.

Sounds like a good argument to me.

We should find new words for everything in Ron's platform.

Perhaps we could open-source edit a statement that uses positive framing to present Dr. Paul's message. I'll start, feel free to expand on it:

As President of these United States of America, Dr. Paul will strengthen national security, recognize the family unit as the foundation of this great nation, and provide financial indepenence.

Non-interventionalism = Armed neutrality
IRS, gold standard, free markets = Financial indepenence
Illegal immigration = Boarder security
Bring home the troops = Reunite families
Obey the Constitution = Celebrate the spirit of the great United States of America
Stop the police state, NAU, NAFTA, CAFTA, etc... = Define our identity as good nation in the gobal community / family
End the War on Drugs, Terror, etc... = Strengthen the family unit

I like the idea of Armed Neutrality.

You guys need to understand something though. The term neo-con is used way too vaguely. Just being a voter who supports the current foreign policy doesn't make them a neo-con by definition.

I know that these days it's easier to call pro-war people neo-cons, but it's a misnomer in a lot of instances.

The reason why you converted "neo-cons" was probably because they weren't neo-cons to begin with. They were just blind faith followers of the status quo with no idea of an opposite but effective solution.

pro-war people for the most part should be easy to convince as long as you show them there's an effective solution to the contrary.

its more about breaking down the error of first strike mentality, or nation building and how that increases the size of Gov.

For the financial words (debt, IRS, taxation, spending). how about 'economic integrity'
as in 'I support economic integrity in our federal government.'
