I just watched the entire LinkTv video that someone else posted. Regardless of anything you think about Luntz or Fox News, we should all realize that WAY too much of our energy and attention is spent on negative comments about them. As one of the panelists might say, we are allowing them to "frame" the debate. We will not win any elections that way. We will always be more successful focusing on things that we are FOR rather than what we are AGAINST.

Fill in the blanks for yourself:
I'm not AGAINST the war, I'm FOR___________
I'm not AGAINST the government taking away my liberties, I'm FOR __________
I'm not AGAINST income tax, I'm FOR____________
I'm not AGAINST illegal immigration, I'm FOR _____________
I'm not AGAINST subsidies that distort the markets, I'm FOR ___________
etc., etc....

And you present it in a moral context that conveys sincere emotions and values.

That is the message of Frank Luntz. It's all in how you say it. It doesn't matter how good your ideas are, if you can't figure out how to sell them, they are worthless.

I just thought of a good one:
I'm not AGAINST illegal immigration, I'm FOR securing our borders in order to protect & preserve American culture and identity for this and future generations. I think Frank Luntz probably could have figured out a way to say that in two words, though.

Thank you for the thread. I agree, the bashing of Frank Luntz will get us no where at all. We should be more worried about getting the message spread and trying to get other people on our side.

Continue bashing them. Else they will continue bully Ron Paul.

I've been saying for weeks that, in order to spread the message to the sheeple, who...yes, we need to win this, the rhetoric of the entire campaign and the grassroots needs to do an about face from a movement against to a movement for...

Some examples:

Actually, this is really good. I only watched a part of that panel discussion but at the moment I'm too tired to come up with great answers for the fill-in-the-blanks. So, bump!

As a side note, silence is far more powerful than booing. Booing tends to have an opposite effect as was mentioned in the video. Cheering is not the alternative, simply not responding is.

BOYCOTT continues.....

no bashing just IGNORING THEM - part of Operant Conditioning...if they clean their act up and I do mean CLEAN IT UP (tired of their pornographic broadcasting too)...then I might reconsider.

Sorry but I don't care how Dr Paul does in polls, primary finishes, or the nomination for that matter, Fox and most of the MSM will continue to marginalize and bash him. We are Dr Pauls voice.

Good idea..but you proceed from the premises that to fire off an email of disgust, not turn on FOX or refusing to buy a product advertised on such takes more than one second to ten minutes. If it was a 12 hour a day shift I could understand.. But it isn't..so fire away..but keep in mind the thoughts you presented as they are spot on.I am for such and such..not against such and such.. Positive spin is good..Fuck Frank.. We can play his low level gambit too. I thought I was going to have to troll kill this thread but it is actually a good one..Just remove the premise that it takes a great deal of time to lay into the clowns aT the networks and elsewhere.

Best
