Other candidates' supporters don't spam internet poll links everywhere. Especially local tv station ones.

This exaggerates Ron's support by increasing his polling numbers, which ultimately contributes to complacency.

I'm not going to vote. I don't live in that area, so my vote doesn't matter. This type of stuff annoys me when I see it done. I've also, been roped into doing it by a friend and I didn't do it then I voted once, and went about my activities.
Also, let's say they decide to see where all of the votes for Ron Paul are coming from, then they start to see IPS outside of their coverage area. Oh, yes! That would go over great in the media for Ron Paul wouldn't it?

It isn't as if the others aren't just as free to vote for their candidate, they CHOOSE not to because they don't care as much. One man, one vote, its not as if we are blatantly cheating like Mitt's people. When he wins a poll, it makes people wonder who he is, and it might get them to look into him...and possibly convert him. If he is at 1-2%, then they are going to buy into the News hype and figure he's a nobody.

But it also makes current supporters think "Awesome, we're winning!"

Which = "we have this cat in the bag" mentality.

Then, when results like Iowa & NH happen, everyone is disappointed and disheartened and wonders "how can this be!"

Just don't do it.
