Ron Paul, during the Facebook Debate I believe, said there was an article in the Wall Street Journal that said the price of oil wasn't rising, but that inflation caused gas to be more expensive. Thanks for the graph anyway. :rolleyes:

Well I'm pretty sure it's both things contributing to it but even if not - the Iraq war sure is leading to the inflation so...

"Value" of gasoline/oil has only risen 20% in the last 7 years or so.. the other 330% is inflation.

You forgot to attribute the spike in 1979 to the Soviet-Afghan War and the Iranian Revolution.

The graph is misleading because it does not adjust for inflation.

They print the money to finance the wars on credit. This raises prices shortly thereafter.
