Real ID?

So now that we all know the real id is on its way here and there's not much we can do besides get our people into office to get rid of it. What are you planning to do to avoid having to get one?

My first thought is to just keep my old id without it and never get a new one and just pay the fines as needed when I get caught.

Any other thoughts?

Personally, I don't have a clue yet as to what I'm going to do as this comes to fruition.

My job involves many government agencies and travel.

Right now, it looks as though I'll either have to get the ID, or a new career. :(

It's not going to get implemented. It seems to me that too many states have made it clear that they're not going to implement it, and many more have such bills in the pipeline:

It would not go over well if the Federal Government forced the Real ID on states that already said they weren't going to comply.
