I hate to say it but standing on street corners and waving signs is quite piss-poor for a group of people who are supposed to be passionate and creative. Lets try some brain storming to come up with some cheap, quick and simple things that can get the RP msg out in addition to canvassing. Agreeded that cavassing is best, but what about the part time paulites, or things one can do in their daily life?

Here are some ideas, plz add to them:

1) placing small ads in local papers dirt cheap, and pointing them to where then can find more info, or obtain some campaign materials (remember local rags are generally read by offliners, so emails and web pages are prolly not good content)

2) droping slim jims off in stacks of 'free flyer' racks. Like at grocery stores, doctor's/dentist offices, the dmv, waiting rooms at train stations, public msg boards at your local library. These are all locations u visit in daily life. So they don't take more of your time. in fact always carry a stack and look for unexpected places to drop a handful.

Get creative, get practical. There were 2 low points for me in NH. Hearing about kids chasing sean hannity and throwing snowballs, and this douche pulling out every one's signs the day of the elections (except ron pauls), when he should have been getting out the vote. We need to reach out to average people, on their bandwidth...not ours.

Other ideas?

Indeed.

Signs don't net us votes.

Waving signs doesn't net us votes.

Waving signs in a group and chanting doesn't net us votes.

We're way past "just getting his name out there" right now. Sign up to be a precinct leader/captain and deliver the votes. That's how the other campaigns were able to run a quieter campaign but get more people to punch the card for Huck/McCain/Romney/etc.

People only get to vote once in the booth - it's up to you to make sure they do it for Ron Paul.

This ad thing as been posted again and again, and sticked at top. There is a lot of support for it, but so far no organized attempt to do it has been agreed upon.

We need an ad bomb like a money bomb. Thousands of people who pledge to put small ads in newspapers around the country at the same time.

Ron Paul bookmark I put together to slip into books at your local book / grocery store. I figure best books would be political, current events, best sellers, and graphic novels.

And here are some mini-fliers you can just put anywhere . . . among business cards at local businesses, slipped into the backs of DVD cases at the video store, the greeting card shelves at grocery stores, anywhere with a little nook to put them. Or, of course, under windshield wipers.

And while we're at it, help promote the Ron Paul National Freedom March on Friday February 1 with these fliers:

These would just be absolutely awesome to use as ads because they would be very memorable.
