I am by no means a great legal mind, in fact, I have lost most of my mind over the years, but here goes. I was wondering in the wake of the raid on the producer of the Liberty Dollars if there is opportunity there to prove a point in court. If Mr. Van NotHaus was arrested for producing currency in violation of federal law, but the Fed produces currency under the federal law, is this a violation of Sherman Anti-Trust laws? My argument would be that the US federal government is affording protection under the law for a sanctioned monopoly since the Fed is essentially a private institution. If there is anyone out there that has a legal background that could lend edification to this argument. This could be a great opportunity to finally drag the Federal Reserve into a courtroom to be exposed.
