HOly.. S..t! why didnt we think earlier about this. We have a blimp then why not having a campaign mascot. A character that embodies what Cong. Ron Paul's message and our Ron Paul REvolution. It's an added attraction.. believe me. It will add some definition to our campaign. Anybody want to take this? :)

A big Black Swan!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_swan_theory

Black swan theory
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
For Taleb's book on the subject, see The Black Swan.

The Black Swan (Cygnus atratus)In Nassim Nicholas Taleb's definition, a black swan is a large-impact, hard-to-predict, and rare event beyond the realm of normal expectations. Taleb regards many scientific discoveries as black swans—"undirected" and unpredicted. He gives the September 11, 2001 attacks as an example of a Black Swan event. [1]

The term black swan comes from the ancient Western conception that all swans were white. In that context, a black swan was a metaphor for something that could not exist. The 17th Century discovery of black swans in Australia metamorphosed the term to connote that the perceived impossibility actually came to pass...

The donkey for the democratic party was originally meant to mock Andrew Jackson. The donkey was seen as a reliable animal in rural areas so they adopted it as their mascot.

Here is a copy of the email I just sent to the artist:

Hello Ms. Morley, I first want to say that I think your artwork is amazing. I Am a supporter for residential Candidate Dr. Ron Paul and I was just browsing around for some Lady Liberty artwork when I came across your piece. I think this piece is awesome and really resonates of what Dr. Paul is all about. I don't know if you follow any politics or are leaning towards any candidates, but this particular piece of artwork would infer to me that you would absolutely love Dr. Paul. Here is a good place to learn a little about him if you do not already know. http://www.ronpaul2008.com/articles/ What I am really writing to you for is permission to use this artwork in promotion of Dr. Paul. If I may even be a little more bold I would ask if you would consider a new piece exactly the same with just a minor adjustment to the face to resemble Dr. Paul a little more closely. It already looks similar only Dr. Paul does not sport any facial hair, he is also not as athletic or muscular (he is 72) but that is ok. I sincerely thank you in advance.

We could always make mascots for the other candidates and have the mascots follow them around the country.

Examples:

Rabid Rudy the crazed foaming at the mouth dog with a giant muzzle, dressed in drag, and with a strong lisp.

Huckabubba the bible toting, NASCAR loving, tobacco chewing, redneck who swears that Jesus was not crucified on a cross but on a windowpane.

John McInsane the clown-who hates Gooks and Arabs and wants troops in Iraq for our century of world domination.

Flip Flopperomney the walking pancakes who argues with himself on every issue.

No No! The Eagle is over-rated!
We are an eclectic and intelligent bunch, representing a more wonderful future.
What about the mythological phoenix?

The phoenix is large bird with gold and red plumage which arises from the ashes of fire, anew. Like our country and hopefully the planet! The bird was also said to regenerate when hurt or wounded by a foe, thus being almost immortal and invincible — a symbol of fire and divinity. It is found throughout the world and throughout history in mythology.

Lots of different ideas. FYI: Having a dog named Ron Paw was cute.

What do we do now? Anybody willing to take this mascot project? Maybe the HQ can help.

How about The Predator

I know it might be a little scary for kids but COME ON you gotta admit he is cool. Plus he's kind of like RP invisible to the naked eye until it's too late. The ultimate gorilla candidate.
