Believing in Ron's message is all that matters when it comes to voting for him. Voting for someone else just because "Ron can't win" becomes self-perpetuating, and makes it so that it is indeed hard for Ron to win. But as you know, his message is brilliant and that in itself shows that he CAN win.

I felt the same way you did about the Leno incident. I thought the way Ron Paul talks about others he's against is very mature, professional and respectful. I thought the things he said about Mitt in regards to religion were spot on. I am a *recovering* Mormon and understand the religion. I know it's not kooky, crazy or cultish... It's just different. LIke Hindu, Buddhist, Evangelical,etc.. It's just different.

The problem I have is that Mormonism teaches that the United States Constitution was written with "divine inspiration" and is considered by many in the LDS faith a "divine article". I find it Ironic that Mormons aren't lining up behind the only person who's the Strict Constitutionalist!

Mitt made a bad choice and showed his true colors. We are glad to have you and hope more like yourself find the same answers.

I have been supporting Mitt to the tune of about $800 so far.

I'm not trying to cause chaos - i'm telling the truth - and am saddened by Mitt's choice to go negative on Ron Paul. Ron's choice to defend Mitt on Jay Leno was awesome - he stood up for the constitution and protected Mitt's right to freedom of religion (and mine for that matter) while condemning those that would not vote for Mitt because of his religion.

When I saw Mitt make fun of on Ron Paul last night during the debate - I was ashamed of Mitt. It added the "fuel to the fire" of why my support started shifting to Ron Paul last month - and now i'm 100% on board and a precinct leader for Ron Paul. Mitt will remain my #2 choice. I truly had hoped that Mitt and Ron would join forces as Mitt is an incredible executive and leader. Unless Mitt apologizes to Ron and will compromise his positions I doubt this will happen. (btw - i see some common ground with Mitt and Ron between cutting spending, smaller government, getting out of iraq)

A number of members of my church just in the Fairfax VA area alone that I know - are now supporting Ron Paul.

That's really great news. I hope every day that more good, freedom-loving people of all backgrounds realize that Ron Paul is the candidate who will actually protect and defend the one thing that unites us all - our Constitution.

I suggest this since Mitt Romney and Ron Paul have strong differences in those stances. After finding out what Dr Paul bases his stance on you will not have to worry about Dr Paul being weak on terror. We are an educated and enthusiastic crowd at the ronpaulforums I hope you enjoy your stay.

It sounds like you still like Mitt Romney. There was a time I sort of liked him myself, and if I had to choose between McCain, Huckabee, Giuliani, and Romney, I'd choose Romney. In fact, he'd probably be the only one of those four I could bring myself to vote for under ANY circumstances.

Just be prepared if people make fun of him on here and call him "Willard" and "Mittens" and such.

From one LDS full tithe paying priesthood holder to another, welcome to the forums. A message I have found to be particularly appealing to the brethren is that if you truely believe that the constitution is a divinely inspired document (as it was origionally written) there is NO other candidate to vote for. LDS folks are probably the most likely to be receptive to the Good Doctor's message. Pro second ammendment, pro Constitution. His message of private philanthropy vs. goverment throwing money ineffectively at a problem also resonates in the LDS community. A message I have found to be particularly appealing to the brethren is that if you truely believe that the constitution is a divinely inspired document (as it was origionally written) there is NO other candidate to vote for. LDS folks are probably the most likely to be receptive to the Good Doctor's message. Pro second ammendment, pro Constitution. His message of private philanthropy vs. goverment throwing money ineffectively at a problem also resonates in the LDS community. After 9/11 - i was at the bishops storehouse in DC - helping to put together 10,000 care packages for the 10,000 kids that were left without a Mom and / or Dad following the attacks. That was a great experience and an amazing feeling to be able to directly contribute / help. No government - just private US citizens through our church.

A number of members of my church just in the Fairfax VA area alone that I know - are now supporting Ron Paul.

I'm not a person that posts very much, but I have to admitt I'M THRILLED to see a CONVERT:D:D:D in the same regional state I live in!!!! Have seen a few bumber stickers and 1 sign along 395 NOVA. Im also going to let most of ya know here there are more people aware of RP and his message than we think. My dentist even said (although he told me he gave money to EVERY campaign) he see's a huge generational divide with the young and that we are not going to tolerate the same politcians continuing to screw this country up. I told him your right, WE are not going to sit here accept the status quo garbage any longer. WE are RISING UP and many people are are WAKING up to the TRUTH and FREEDOM!!! So there are people out there that know this is a FIGHT of determination and unity for us. I have a few clients who are 'hardcore' dems and when I mentioned I became active for the first time in my life with RP donation. They said " yea he's got interesting ideas, but has NO CHANCE at all" I told them they had no idea of the revoultion on the net taking place and how motivated and organized we are at taking this country back, besides I said you think he has no chance cause the media tells you that and misinterprets what he says. These are the MSM darling voters that are unaware of the truth that keeps growing. My point with this jargon is--IT IS PEOPLE SUCH AS YOU THAT WILL START TO CHANGE THESE "NO CHANCE" VOTERS MINDS AND MAKE RON PAUL A REALITY!!!! I applaud all efforts to convert those that you know to the truth. Welcome to the revoultion!!! Let us win VA for RP!!! I'll be soon putting in a sign along Edsall rd to show support in the area.
