I voted no because it is a Grassroots effort. If I saw the MLK on their website, it would look like they organize it. JMO

No, just a bad idea.
Since this is a donation directly to HQ, there would be very little impact as far as the FEC is concerned. The only issue in this case would be that people who ran the website, made videos, or otherwise promoted the event would have to count those contributions as part of their $2300 donation.
If an activity is part of the official campaign, the costs of that event that are contributed by supporters go against their $2300 limit.
