Just got this in the mail:

January 11, 2008

Our campaign is growing every single day, with more and more volunteers and donors rallying to the cause of peace, freedom, and Constitutional government. And our staff is growing too! Our latest hire is Daniel McCarthy, who is coming on board as our Grassroots Communications Coordinator to keep the grassroots informed on the latest developments with the campaign.

You'll get the freshest and most exciting news from the campaign, straight from our War Room, from Daniel and other staffers at our blog, the Daily Dose. Instant reaction to breaking news, immediate mobilization of our supporters-the blog will keep you up to speed on everything happening with the Ron Paul movement.

And we're starting now: our first posts are up http://people.ronpaul2008.com/campaign-updates . Check back regularly!

I just hope he has been researched. We all saw just yesterday that things which are written under your name (even if you yourself didn't write them) can bite you in the butt.

Furthermore I hope HQ took the time to read this guy's writings from the past. If I'm not mistaken somebody last year (Edwards?) got into trouble because two of his staff (bloggers) had written some extreme views in their own blogs. The evil MSM made it into a big issue.

Already found an article written by him in the past, and no SURPRISE! The first article I found was on Lew Rockwell's site. I'm finding more and adding as I find them.

A simple Google search turned up the articles in my post above, plus more.

Oh Dear GOD!! "Lynching Jesse" If the media finds this and that its connected to the writer now works for the campaign we are absolutely fuckered!! Weather the article is right or wrong will no matter... They will just show the title. Also the fact it says it will kill this campaign with what has already been said.

This is an uninformed thread.

The Meredith piece is in no way analogous to the writings in the old Ron Paul report.

Opposing federal intrusion in states rights is not uncommon for Republican politicians and writers; nor is it particularly uncommon for D's,for that matter (D's owned the south during the days of segregation.

It is important to realize the distinction between the gutter language used in the old Ron Paul reports and this Meredith article, which argues against the intrusion of the federal government where it doesn't belong.
