Maybe it's just me but it sure sounded like McCain was putting the blame on the American people for the illegal immigration problem.

"Senator McCain, the president's push for immigration reform failed mainly because of disagreements over your plan for dealing with the 12 million people now here illegally. You say you've learned your lesson, you'd secure the borders first. OK. Then how would you deal with the illegals?

MCCAIN: Actually, it failed because the American people had no trust or confidence in the federal government to do its job, because we had passed a law in 1986 that said we'd allow citizenship and actually what happened was that we didn't secure the borders, as we promised. So Americans need to restore their trust and confidence. I know how to secure the borders.

MCCAIN: I come from a border state where our borders are broken. More people come across our border illegally every year than most any other state.

This guy is a clown and the GOP's wet dream.

The Complex is gunning (pun) for his nomination.

Build the fucking wall and start deporting every illegal found.

If we can find Saddam in a hole in the middle of no where, we can find 12,000 illegal immigrants over time.

I think Sheriff McLame sounded dumb with . . .

I know how to secure the borders.
I come from a border state WHERE OUR BORDERS ARE BROKEN.
More people come across our border illegally every year than most any other state."

Can I quote you on that Senator ?

Actually, McCain is the Anti-Christ of the Republican Party. I cannot understand the push for him to be the nominee, when for the past several years, the party faithful have been ridiculing him as the Democrat Left Wing Socialist, of the Republican Party!!!!

He was vilified for the Immigration deal, and his name is associated with every socialist in the Democrat Party, on his "BIPARTISAN" BILLS.

McCain-Feingold strike a bell?

Hell, actual Republicans can't STAND McCain.

McCain told John Cornyne to "Shut the fuck up" during a committee hearing on the immigtation issue, and told him "Fuck You, I have been working on this for years, and you aren't going to come in here and throw a wrench, etc."

He is a loose cannon, and his comment last night about Muslims having nothing to trade but Burkas, demonstrates that he will indeed, as promised, stay in Iraq for the next 100 years.

Even Phyllis Schaffley doesn't want the next five generations of Americans, to be dedicated to the Iraq war, and she is so Right Wing, she can't seperate herself from the John Bircher's in the party.

Well why hasn't he done anything about Arizona borders as an Arizona senator?
Duncan Hunter did do something about his California borders.

He keeps saying he'll make the governors of the border states certirfy that the borders are secure. That's not the same as securing the borders yourself...it's passing the buck and relying on some vague 'certification' that the borders are secure. Well, asking for a vague certification at least.

It's funny how he words it the same way every time. It failed because the american people lost confidence.... I will make the border state governors certify.... He claims no responsibility for coming up with a crappy plan; instead he blames the american people for the previous failure, and preemptively finds someone else to blame in the future. What an honorable guy!

Just last summer he was trying to sneak amnesty past the american people, and now you have "election year religion?"

Why do we allow him to get away with that?

I'd like to waterboard his ass and tell him, "we don't torture my friend", but then your no friend of the American People.
