"...why should we not be talking about foreign policy that used to be part of the Republican party? Mr. Republican Robert Taft didn't even want us to be in NATO, and you're saying now that we should continue to borrow money from China to finance this empire that we CAN'T AFFORD?!

Let me see if I get this right....

We borrow 10 billion dollars from China and then we give it to [Gen. Pervez] Musharraf, who is a military dictator, who overthrew an elected government, and then we go to war? We loose all the lives promoting democracy IN IRAQ?!

I mean, what's going on here?

And you're saying that this isn't appealing to Republicans? Where did this come about? I think this is a Republican message, I defend the platform. We used to say 'get rid of the department of education'. It does not say that now. Now Republicans double the size of the department of education, so, WHERE HAVE WE GONE?!

I think we have lost our way. And you make the insinuation that I am less Republican?"

The whole answer to the question got edited out?

It was a brilliant answer.

which is of course why it got edited out of the replay...

Precisely. It is a very persuasive answer to the question of whether RP is electable-- a good response to use when canvassing.

What do you mean it got edited out? Of a re-run of the debate?

That was good but I think he needs to explain the dep. of education thing and not use it in short soundbites.

I understand it but I think most Americans hear it as "I'm against education."

Your telling me that they only cut out this answer from the rerun!??(that'd be fooking outragious!!!) or they cut a big chunk/half of the debate, out?

So what does this mean? It sounds like they ran this in S.C. but not nationally?

They edited this out of the syndicated version? That's awesome!!

Another example of their ridiculous bias...how can they possibly justify that? Great ammo for waking others up to the blatant manipulation by the media.

That was a dynamite answer. It wasn't edited out of the version I watched last night. Which syndicated version?

I was actually asking a question not stating what happened. I'm a little confused as I did not see the debate last night. Can someone clear this up.

from what i heard it wasnt played on the RERUNS of the debate, only the live one. the reruns were fairly(heavily?) edited.

I can' tbelieve that I used to actually like Fox news. They're on my shit list forever. I don't think there's anything they could do to get me back or EVER purchase a product from ANY of their sponsers again. I wouldn't care if it was the best, cheapest most desirable product on the face of the earth. I wouldn't care if it was $.50 per gallon gas for the rest of my life I wouldn't buy it from a Fox advertiser.

I think the Exxon Valdeze was in 1985? I STILL haven't bought a drop of Exxon Mobile gas since then.

wasn't that the exact answer that got horrible ratings?

I didn't catch that. Maybe they got stuck on 'electability' and weren't listening to Ron's answer. That's it, their responses are to the questions being asked, not the answers! That's why Paul lost frankie's forum! better questions=win, ridiculous question=lose.

My father was a fox news addict. What turned him completely off was when it was pointed out that Ron Paul was excluded from thier NH forum after he beat Rudy in Iowa and Fox included Rudy in the thier forum. Now he cant stand CNN communist news network and ended up watching the News on PBS! A little at a time we all are chipping at thier pedestal of 24 hour biased news.

I think Ron needs to explain how getting rid of the department of education is a good thing, it kinda sounds like he doesn't want good education to the regular uneducated viewers.
