Given the opportunity to say what he's been saying on air all week Howard Stern failed to endorse Ron Paul when asked by Letterman tonight if he supported Ron Paul. I was bummed.

..because a public Stern endorsement is what all Republicans need. Maybe they could've put it under the "endorsements and acclaim" section on the official site. ::rolleyes::

A positive word on his radio show is enough.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it would've been to our benefit either. But he did say he supported Giuliani. Would you rather he support Giuliani on Letterman than Ron Paul? Again, I'm not sure what I think. A few of my friends are neo-cons and they love Stern.

Dr. Paul finished 5th twice. He's not exactly the kind of candidate that people with profile fall over themselves to endorse.

But he beat Rudy and Howard said he liked Rudy

Outside of "Ron Paul World" most people think he is a crank, a fringe candidate, and a no chance.

That's reality. I don't agree with it myself, but a LOT of people see him that way.

Until we prove ourselves (which we have not yet), there will not be endorsements. Our failure in NH may have cost us the opportunity to get a major endorsement in SC.

Sooner or later, we're gunna need to finish 3rd or better, or frankly, we're proving we're backing a 9th position candidate (Obama, Clinton, Edwards, GOP frontrunners)

Stern said basically that he was waiting until it got down to a few candidates, but that he liked Giuliani. For what it's worth, Stern kind of cut off Letterman when DL was asking him if he liked RP.

he said he will decide when there will be just two but also mentioned Rudy's name as one he likes. Letterman brought up RP's name but Stern failed to connect...

How are you so sure that Stern would endorse Dr. Paul?

Letterman mentioned Ron Paul, but Stern didn't mention him while he was ranting about Huckabee.

Forget Stern, I'd much rather have Letterman's endorsement. He supported him in '88 when his odds of winning were even longer, so that shouldn't be an issue.
