Obama on Gay Marriage

I'm starting a new thread for this because this is really incredible.

I can't believe what he just said it was incredible.

Concerning gay marriage, Obama said that he believes everyone should have equal protection under the law, therefore, what ever rights that the states give to married people, they should also extend to homosexual in some form, but it doesn't have to be "marriage", that as long as "civil unions" grant equal rights as marriage that is fine.

A person of color saying this just plain incredible, if the bloggers don't go crazy over this then they are just plain dumb. I guess Obama has never heard of "seperate" but "equal" being an abomination.

I don't think it's nearly as big a deal as you're making it out to be.

I think his rationale sucks, but it's not an absurd statement.
