Looks like Wolf Blitzer called Dean on his constant assertion that the republicans are all pro-war in Iraq. Blitzkrieg pointed out that Paul was anti-war, and Dean said "yeah, but he's a libertarian, not a republican".

What an asshole.

HILARIOUS. Just watched him saying "ALL the Republican's want to stay in Iraq", but Wolf Blitzer stood up for Ron Paul!
Then Dean has the gall to say that.

Hmmm, Howard Dean, oh, you mean that sellout?

Well, if he said it in humor, I can shrug it off, but I hope Dean realizes that Ron Paul is actually a Republican and running as a Republican.

Good for Blitzer. At least he had the wherewithal to tell the truth and slap Dean down.

What a dick !!! You could make the same argument for any candidate. For instance, you could say "yeah, but hillary isnt a democrat, shes a socialist" or "yeah, but Bush isnt a republican, hes a statist."

That guy is such a tool, and thats too bad because he actually isnt really that dumb, he just counts on the sheeple that saw him say that to believe it.

What happened was Dean was comparing Democrats to Republicans and he said all Democrats are for Iraq Troop Withdrawl, and Republicans all want them to stay. Wolf interrupted him and said Everyone but Ron Paul... Dean smiled and said, "Well, Ron Paul is a libertarian, not a republican". Wolf said "Well... he's running under the Republican ticket". Then they continued their normal discussion.

Obama is a socialist and Hilary is a fascist. They're both running as Democrats and he's not having conniptions over that.

Strange world when people get mad for being called Libertarian rather than Republican.

Pretty sure that's one of the signs of Apocalypse.

That's pretty lame. But that type of half-truth is what I've come to expect from the political class. It's very rare to find a politician willing to fully admit he/she made a mistake.

It's not that they are mad because a Republican is somehow better than a Libertarian, I think that people are mad because for people who have never heard of him, when they hear Libertarian, they think "oh he's third party he'll never get anywhere so why should I care"

At least he got mentioned as the only republican candidate against the war, I think its a plus. We'd be more pissed if they said "NONE of the republicans are against the war."
