Big ears doesn't mean good hearing. Also he is 72 years old. Imagine the hair in those huge ears.

It's an old stage sabotage. I bet he doesn't have a speaker on his end of the stage.

I heard that they used to turn up heat and lights in certain areas to make debate members uncomfy too.
