View Full Version : Ron Paul Should NOT Reveal the Identity of the Person Who Wrote Those Articles

Whoever that person is, they're a private citizen and Ron Paul is an elected official. It would be unfair and unseemly for him to out him, no matter how good it would be for him clearing his name.

This is the greater moral issue which actually does apply to Ron Paul. I know it's damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't, but he has handled this perfectly fine, especially today, and doesn't need to involve a private citizen. Who knows, this person may have had a change of heart and this could potentially disrupt their life by being outed.

To out the person is to play politics and wield power that a private citizen can't compete with.

Also, they could always deny it and get Ron Paul embroiled in a lawsuit for slander or libel. That would be far worse than where we are now because then Ron Paul looks double guilty.

The writer himself should have the courage to come forward, stand by or explain what he wrote, and absolve Ron Paul.
