View Full Version : Is There Something Different About Ron Paul Today?

Something seems different all of a sudden. In today's message there appears to be a more forceful tone rather like he's taking the gloves off all the while speaking in a manner designed to inspire.....as wise leaders are supposed to do. In fact, it seemed to me as if he was making subtle allusions to the 'secret strategy' posted here earlier as well.

And then I saw him on CNN and in my opinion he was a considerably more forceful Ron Paul in refuting the allegations of racism. (He also looked exhausted--which is not a criticism of his appearance but more an observation made with some great sympathy for him.)

Interesting. The impression it's given me is that he does have a pre-determined strategy yet he is flexible enough to be open to suggestions.

(I've been trying to read through the threads here to see if this has already been suggested so forgive the new thread if it's redundant.)

It is even more of the case on these forums. We will risk our lives for Ron Paul.

Agreed, either he getting into "Phase Two" of a predetermined plan or is revising his original plan to get better results.

I LOVE the new Paul, not that I didn't love the old one either :)

he knows what he is doing. using that very seasoned political experience effectively....

seem passive in the beginning then challenge them toe to toe, knowing that they really have no true or factual info to back up their counter punches!

Guys, this isnt the NEW Ron Paul, this is the TRUE Ron Paul! You should find videos of him on that tlak show in the late 80's owning everyone in there about the drug war.

These SAME accusations have been coming against him for some time and they are constantly put to rest. I'd be pretty upset if they came back up again.... with another person twisting the story around, probably for $$$.

So are we, or we have always been. We are the lunatics, there is no telling what we will do to get RP in office even if it means risking our lives.

This started with the Laura Ingraham show (http://youtube.com/watch?v=jJXRa2n6Fe4)the other day. Ron was simply on fire.

We need to keep in him fired up!

We still have 47 primaries and caucuses left and from a financial stand point Dr. Paul is well poised to put up a fight to the very end. Of course, we all have to keep donating to keep the campaign alive. I think the good news in all of this though, is that win or lose, the Revolution isn't dying any time soon!

You are spot on in your analysis of him being different. He was pissed, and he was determined, and I liked it!

Fox will attempt to destroy him, in a final blow tonight.

He knows it, and is mentally preparing for being ganged up on by several intellectually vapid inferiors, all slinging the same charges.

Hope he stays calm, but determined enough to point out the fact that Fox let Robert Byrd off the hook, and Hillary off the hook, and Bill off the hook, for ACTUAL racist comments.

He DENIES these. Byrd, and both Clintons, are videotaped making their racist comments. Hillary did one just on Jan 9, saying "Dr. King wasn't able to realize his dream, until Lyndon Johnson. It took a "President" to get it done."

So that is about as condescending as it gets. That was the same day Bill said Obama's whole campaign was a "fairy tale".

We'll see if he brings it up.

I did some looking at his congressional races. He always does this. He gains a much larger support base than the area he's running. For congress that ment he had nation wide financial support. For this race he has international support though he can't have their financial support. Still it helps alot with name recognition. He was seen as the underdog but then rose to win. In fact it seems that he does best when his party is full tilt against him. He does point out his opponents weaknesses and it seems he does so when they have spent most of their money. He connects with real people on a personal level vs. his opponent's vague attempts to appeal to everyone with generalizations.

Ron Paul is an expert at getting out a message that the establishment does not want out. I know alot of us have complained, but I say let's let him work his magic while we keep running our campaign. This is where the real race begins.

I think my question has been answered. He is DEFINITELY different today! What an incredible job he did on that fox debate! I small-sized the name of the network because I think it's indicative of their mindset. What an appallingly blatant and manipulative tactic by asking RP about 9/11 truthers while the debate was discussing the Republican coalition. He handled that and the rest of the debate stunningly well.

The man truly is a hero in the cause of liberty.

He's always been better in hostile interviews than in friendly ones -- sharper and on his guard. Now they're going after him with every smear they can find, and he's not going to let them get away with it.

I just saw the Blitzer/Racism clip, and I really liked his offensive, give or take a few points for style (subjective points, of course). Also, per the NH vote irregularities, I believe Dr. Paul knows *exactly* what he's doing vis-a-vis that issue, like dirknb said, "this ain't his first rodeo", the guy is a battle hardened pro who may look otherwise (i.e., tactically intelligent).

He is a hero to me for sure. And he has been called the first civil rights leader of the 21st century.

the revolution is coming

Ok I hate to say it but I can't help but think of the Black Knight in Monty Python's Holy Grail right now... Fortunately right now perhaps it just is merely a flesh wound...
