Sunnyvale - HUGE - LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU CAN FIND - the biggest challenge will be to see if the owner/broker will let us have it for just a month -

Call me if you have any problems and I'll tell you what to do

Again, California is a big state and there are tens of Metropolitan areas... furthermore, many of our metropolitan areas have mini metropolitan areas...

I'd love to help, but what exactly needs to be done? Do I just need to google search some places for rent and call the owners?

And if that's what I need to do, what exactly do I search?

Awesome - We need to creat a list of potential office locations for HQ to look at -

Renting for 1 month only is the main issue

San Gabriel valley is a very populated area, but I think the key is just to have something in LA county. I am located about 21 miles away from Los Angeles so anything within LA county will be sufficient to sustain this whole area.

Something around Santa Monica would probably be good, or maybe near the beach in the OC like you said.

It would probably be helpful to outline your ideal locations and then list them in numerical order of preference. Then us Californians can help find some locations.

I seem to have found a pretty good place located in San Leandro:
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/off/535011938.html
Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to make the drive up there as it is really far away. But, if you approve of this place, I can make the call and ask them if they are willing to rent it out for a month to a political campaign.
It has great visibility, i think it's on the street.
Cost per month is $6460.

Another in Cupertino:

Great news Mr. Hemminger. I just called Ken (the guy who's renting it out) and he said at first, "I guess I've never really considered that option." But then he said that it would be fine as long as possible tenants could check out the place during the month the campaign is occupying it.

I'm in Chino Hills, a HUGE suburb located between Pomona and Brea. I second the motion for a Brea office. Fullerton and Anaheim would be nice too, but I haven't a clue about locations.

I don't know if either can be rented for a month, but there's a couple of spaces available in Walnut Creek (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walnut_Creek%2C_California), one downtown that used to be Abercrombie and Fitch, and one in the burbs which used to be a Blockbuster. The Blockbuster is likely cheaper, but the A&F location is very high visibility, as downtown WC is a shopping mecca for the east bay. A lot cheaper than SF or Oakland, for sure.
