I really hope the next time Giuliani brings up "They Attack Us Because We Are Free" statement, Ron Paul makes this argument:

"Then all we have to do is introduce more bills like the Patriot Act, and we wouldn't even have to go to war."

I really believe that'll get people thinking. (If that's even still possible these days)

A point along these lines would be great.

Dude, that is a pretty damn good response! Creative, original, logical, and best of all it TOTALLY REFUTES THAT RIDICULOUS ACCUSATION.

Another reply could be:
"Then why don't we start acting like we are free?"

"Well, if the Congress keeps passing bills like the Patriot Act without even reading them, and the President doesn't even bother to veto these unconstitutional laws, we won't have to worry about that now will we?"

I think he needs to explicitly mention that the Patriot Act makes us less free. A huge number of Americans are not aware of that fact.

Free huh? Then why do we have more laws and regulations than the rest of the free world? More laws does not equal more free. So if we have more laws than rest of the free world, then why are the terrorist attacking us more? Perhaps the terrorists care less about freedom and more about being left alone, not having us mucking about in their affairs and telling them how to run their lives and governments.

Agreed... not to mention everything else most Americans aren't aware of.

love it.....or lets attack every country in the world and have bases ....control their govt...then we can have an eye on every individual in the world.....that would make every American citizen feel safe....

"He says they attack us because we are free, so he tries to take away
our freedom.
I say they attack us because we are stirring up a hornets nest of crazy people,
so I want to get out of the hornets nest"

He HAS to point out EVERY time that those who attacked us are to blame and
need to be hunted down. He HAS to saw bad things about those who
seek to attack us.

Penn Jillette said something very similar to that a year or so ago, and I couldn't agree more.

I would also love to see "Bacon & a Kiss" airlines. :D
