When the party and congress have moved so far from the original base (the constitution) toward socialism, wouldn't it seem extreme to move back to center when so many Americans have become accustomed to the status quo-socialist new center?

That, ladies and gents is what we're up against. We see it, America doesn't..........yet! We're not the extremists, they are.

I've heard this nonsense from Huckabee supporters. They say that it's "great that Ron Paul supports the Constitution," but that he's too radical and America "isn't ready for that yet". They say we need "baby steps back to the Constitution, like Huckabee's Fair Tax,".

Apparantely restoring freedom is a radical concept.

Yeah, it annoys me when people say RP isn't a Republican, when he's more republican than the rest, heck even his initials "REP" spell the first part of it. (not that it has anything to do with it but it still is cool)
