There are TONS of hunters and trappers on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and I have seen the publication in this area. It may not be seen in the big cities but I am sure that it will be seen in areas that consider themselves a sportsmans paradise.

LOTS & LOTS of older hunters, fisherman, outdoorsmen - many who do not use the Internet.

Just for kicks I called my local paper and asked the price of a full-page political ad, like the one in USA Today.

The Senatobia Democrat, circulation ~15,000 in NorthWest Mississippi.

$864.30.

Scary thing is I could do it, but my wife would probably stop letting me in the bed at night. Maybe even not in the house.

Folks, especially those of you in small towns, at least call your paper and see what the price would be. I thought it would be a couple of grand at least.

Forget ads... do inserts. I'm putting CommonSense 2.0 into 6 small town papers with a combined circulation of 10,0200 for less than that.... actually about 800.00.

We found someone to print that flyer out double sided in black and white for 29.00 per thousand and the insertion fees are not that bad... in my little paper, circulation 1700 they are charging me 68 buck to inserts the flyers. Anyway, I like inserts better because when someone reads the paper they actually have to physically take hold of the insert and I think the odds of it getting read goes up.
