Governor Schwarzenegger is like Ron Paul in many ways, hes a fiscal conservative, he hates big governments coming in overriding his state laws and many more just take a look at his site http://gov.ca.gov/. This would be huge for Ron Paul, when mcCain got endorsed by leiberman he went way up in polling, huckabee rised in polls when chuck norris announced endorsement. We need some kind of big endorsement like Arnold Schwarzenegger to put Ron Paul's message way out there to be heard. Anyone agree?

We don't want him.

Obama has said he would put Arnold in his cabinet. That's how liberal he is. And have you seen the lack of fiscal responsibility in California.

Arnold has spent like it was going out of style in calyfournya. Not very fiscally conservative. Although I still like him.

It's not as much of a stretch as it sounds. Arnold did some introduction work for some of Milton Friedman's videos and talked a very Reagan game before coming into office. I could certainly see him appreciating a limited federal government.

The funny thing about Arnold is that the GOP establishment loves him. They disagree more on policies with Arnold than Paul, but are much nicer to the governor.

Ron Paul is against birthright citizenship, and Arnold, a foreigner, has publicly stated he'd like to amend the constitution so he can run for President.

So yeah, no endorsement.

Does anybody look at the track record, or is it all looks and "feelings".
He is ANTI 2nd amendment, spends like it's his, and promotes more government into private lives.

Those are two different things. Being against jus soli doesn't necessarily imply that you'd be against a person earning their American citizenship and becoming president later on. For President Paul it's mostly a practical matter, since in the 21st century people can just hop on a plane a few months before having a baby in the country.

Schwarzenegger is pure scum. I voted for him in the recall election and now I totally regret it. He's not a very popular governor here - the conservative radio show hosts in CA hate him.

mala idea, amigo.

Arnold needs to quit politics and film Conan: Crown of Iron. That's what the people want, that's what he should do.

But still, you have to admit it'll be kind of funny to be against having your country controlled by a generation born from illegals, and be in favor of your country being controlled by a foreigner.

I don't know Paul's position, but I do find it humoring to make that connection.

Arnold is very fiscally conservative by nature. This didn't work out too well in California because the entire state system is founded around socialism. He still agrees with Dr. Paul's policies on the economy and government finance. Arnold is also very socially liberal. This actually goes well with the libertarianism. As long as you aren't trying to FINANCE the behaviors, then it agrees. I would say that Arnold in the past was actually very much like a Libertarian in many ways. Sucks that he married a Kennedy
Arnold became a Republican because he heard Nixon in a debate talking about economics.

what seems to be the logic behind seeking celebrity endorcement?

are you folks sure you want to spend money to appeal to folks that listen to talking heads?

i`ll keep talking to folks who shun mass media, the ones i`ve found that would rather think for them selves than be told how to think by the plastic box in the corner.

i suppose any warm body is a vote......so keep on keepin` on.

Arnold's first year in office he banned the last great equalizer!!!!

He banned the BMG 50 Cal Rifle!!!! His first year!!!

This man has no allegiance to the constitution in any form what so ever. He's a dirty little authoritarian, thats married to the Kennedy Klan! If you think he's a liberatarian -- You are wrong. Period. he is a fiscally responsible socialist:D Bwhaa ha ha ha!

PS- Hannity endorsed him for governor -- that says it all.

Schwarzenegger is pro-war. And I am yet to hear one story about him reducing the size of CA government. But then again, I am not a Californian, so may be I missed something.

Any way, the bottom line is, they are too oppsite in their views to endorse one another.

"Lightning McQueen must be found at all cost!" Sorry, just the first thing that came to my find. I think he endorsed Bush back in '04 (not completely sure though). Don't know if he'd endorse RP, or if RP would want his endorsement.
My 2 cents (wish they were backed by gold)

To the extent that Schwarzeneggar has any ideology, that ideology is libertarianism.

His life history holds much proof of this.

Of course, finding oneself in a position of power often leads to the compromising of principle.

Reagan himself played the role of pro-choice environmentalist when he governed California, and there are the obvious examples of Romney in MA and Giuliani in NY.

Arnold pushed 5 anti-government, anti-union propositions recently, at much cost to him politically, so he does have some remaining vestiges of a backbone.

An endorsement would be a major coup. Maybe Leno could talk him into it. My suspicion is that the Governator will consider his own career first and shy away from any controversial endorsements, but who knows?

(PS, I'd favor a constitutional amendment that recognized the realities of globalization by simultaneously ending birthright citizenship and permitting a foreign-born president.)

Schwarzenegger's father was a SS Officer for the Nazi's. We don't need that kind of crap tied in with Ron Paul. If you want to find out about Arnold, look no further than www.arnoldexposed.com
