The Granny Warriors aren't waiting on the campaign to take initiative with a recount, the Granny Warriors already have set up a CHIPIN and the funds are coming in...if you want a recount, put your money where your mouth is!

Has anyone checked to see who can officially call for a recount? Need it be from the official HQ? Have we gotten input from Dr. Paul as to what he wants? I cannot imagine that just anyone can call and get a recount... we need to hear the rules here. thanks

Black Box Voting's Bev Harris is LAYING it out right now on Alex Jones how Ron Paul got ripped. Owner of company who counts 80% of NH votes is CONVICTED FELON. How can this be? Honest elections, yeah right....

Jones was contacted by wealthy supporter who wants the recount.

Drum roll.....what is the RP campaign gonna do about it?

Looks like another candidate requested a recount. Take a look here:

http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080110/NEWS06/801100364

I guess Dr. Paul does not need to request a recount now.

Maybe we can contact this guy and coordinate this recount with him.

With all due respect, this is from the NH statute regarding requesting a recount:

660:1 Application. – Any candidate for whom a vote was cast for any office at a state general election may apply for a recount. The application shall be made in writing to the secretary of state and shall be submitted no later than the Friday following the election. Each candidate requesting a recount shall pay the secretary of state fees as provided in RSA 660:2.

If I am understanding correctly, not only does the recount have to be requested by someone who got a vote, but it has to be requested by the Friday following.. in other words, by tomorrow. The ChipIn runs through Jan 18??

In addition, according to the fee schedule, it looks like the most it would cost a candidate is $2000. The total raised in the Chip In is now over $5K..

(or, if you prefer broken link: h ttp://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/RSA/html/NHTOC/NHTOC-LXIII-660.htm)

So we need to get in contact with Albert Howard somehow and see if he would like to coordinate efforts with us.

This seems to apply to a "state general election" and not a primary. I have no idea what the legal differences may or may not be, but this statute does not seem to apply . . .

In the same statutes, section 660:2, it talks about fees:

660:2 Fees. –
I. If the difference between the vote cast for the applying candidate and a candidate declared elected shall be less than one percent of the total votes cast in the towns which comprise the office to be recounted, the following fees shall apply:
(a) Candidate for president, United States senator or governor, $500.

It mentions candidate for president... ?

I think it does apply simply because it refers to all elections.

primaries are included in general state elections- at least in New Hampshire.

This fraud needs to be exposed NOW or it will continue into the other Diebold states. RP has no chance while these criminals continue to count the votes in secret. The "Helping America Vote Act" HAVA federally funded all these Diebold machines. The act needs to be overturned. The people need to count the vote in the open, not in private by convicted criminals.

Albert Howard was a Republican candidate for the NH primary and is willing to demand a recount.

I REALLY hope this isn't going to be associated with Ron Paul's campaign but you know it will be since the Granny Warriors are organizing it.

This will be a HUGE blow to the campaign and will essentially keep the fringe label on us for the remainder of the election season. It's turning into a circus. This, I believe is the real reason HQ doesn't coordinate more with the grassroots==it's because some of you are absolutely insane with regards to making the official campaign look like a bunch of amateur idiots.

Ask yourself this question: What if there is a recount and it turns out that it was pretty much right on mark with the "diebold count"? If this is connected to the campaign in any way after that, it's over for us.

I appreciate the passion of some of you folks but you really don't use your sense sometimes.

Really now, you don't think that the Diebold machines would actually match a hand count of hand written votes, do you? Cripes, I might as well sell you the deed to the Brooklyn Bridge for $100 if you're that gullible.

Not to stop this voter fraud in its tracks NOW is to let them skew every single primary henceforth. Then we're all working for naught. Ignoring the reality and surrendering to allowing vote fraud is insanity at its worst.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it has to be a candidate who asks for a recount. Can't be done by "we the people". It's beyond me as to why we can't. Someone please let me know if I am wrong.
