I know you have a lot of problems, so have we in the UK. Problem is we have no one like Ron Paul to stand behind. Could some of you sane people help out just a little by digging up this story. I want the world to know about our governments.

Thanks

We are so far gone I wouldn't be suprised if they rename the UK to Airstrip One very soon!

George is a fuckin STAR. but he is a loon, crackpot like RP and 'unelectable' ;)

Thanks for the Diggs. The movement goes on...

While I'm here, can I draw parallels which may spark inspiration in some of you, and used in debate?

For all those people in your country who say that if we withdraw from Iraq, and let the people of Iraq decide on their destiny, there will be more terror. Tell them this little mentioned story.

For nearly 40 years there was terrorism in the UK like you's guys could not imagine. IRA, UDA etc etc bombs every WEEK. Shootings and murders EVERY DAY, in both Northern Ireland, and the UK (sensibly the govt of the Irish Republic did not get into entangling alliances). This went on for YEARS... we send more troops, we get more terror, more terrorists, more dead troops, more dead civilians, more population segregation, more hatred, then we send some more troops with bigger guns to keep the people 'apart', we get more bombs, even more extreme attacks. So more troops... i can go on...
It 'felt' like the people of Ireland hated us (even though it was our policies they actually hated), 'some' of the people of AMERICA supported the IRA's fight for freedom, but we British continued because we knew best.
We fucked over plenty of other countries too during those times. Argentina, Iraq, Lebanon, etc, etc.
Anyway, a political movement called 'New Labour' (Obama draws some parallels) promised to solve our terrorism woes without a McCain style approach. They told the people of Northern Ireland to sort it out for themselves, and they HELPED them in anyway they could by the means of dialog. Today, Northern Ireland is thriving. Terrorism in the UK and NI has fallen to ZERO. These terrorists do not exist anymore (It took all of 10 years)
Sure, there may still a couple of old school 'extremists' around, but there is no one there to preach to now.

It's just a pity that Mr Tony Blair did this only for political gain, and not on grounds of morality, as he has so proven with the Iraq debunckle.

You's guys are so lucky. You have a constitution to base your morality on. All we have over here, is the bible. :(

Good luck.

I moved to the US 8 years ago (thankfully). I think the UK is too far gone in the socialist cesspit. Both major parties are totally socialist in their ideologies. You could just wait for everything to implode (like Marxist/communist/socialist states always do eventually).

Sorry. I hate to put you on a downer with this and I see the US going the exact same way, which is why I'm such a fervent Ron Paul supporter.

Here's some Sex Pistols to cheer you up:

Oh, I forgot to mention. There are no British troops in Northern Ireland anymore, we're having them killed in Afghanistan and Iraq at the moment. (One of my good friends was killed in NI, and two friend's sons killed in Iraq)

Oh, sorry, that's not cheerful at all, my bad.

Its not just the US and the UK, the whole world is in various stages of this Orwellian nightmare.

It's true... but slowly getting eroded. Each time it gets eroded, it becomes easier to erode the next time. :(

One of the main reasons I'm so into the RP movement is because of my friends overseas, and my love for the EU (but I have no love for the EU... government...). I love Germany and Holland... even France if I'm visiting. I got friends in the UK and I want to go there next year...

If RP won, the world would be amazing.. tourism would thrive, peace would prosper, economies would bustle... idk... IMO we don't have much time to fix the wrongs that have been going on for the past 70 years+ ... there's only so much war that can be waged until the populace is literally died off.

That guy is scum. He gets to be our leader without a single vote being cast anywhere by anyone. If that isn't and indication of tyranny then i don't know what is. Oh and what did the british public do about that.....a huge collective yawn and then rolled over and went back to sleep. most of them anyway.

I feel sorry for ya man!! It really pisses me off and I don't even live there anymore. Now if only we could get all you freedom-loving Brits over here and swap you out for all the commie-loving misguided Americans that are trying to send us down the toilet.

Try Germany. You work for the state half the year, the market of labor is regulated like hell, only high income people and entrepreneurs can escape socialized health care, young people will pay more for the government pension system than they will ever get out, in some regions people living with government payments are as many as taxpayers, no home schooling (if you try they take away your children), you have to go to 7+ public institutions and it takes you like 20+ days to start a business, schools and universities are like 85% public, lots and lots of different taxes with lots and lots of exceptions that change every year (making the tax consultant business very pofitable). There are government benefits for students at university, for getting a child, for staying at home with your child, for bringing your child to a public kindergarden and much more. And of course they lots and lots of subsidies for the eastern (former communist) part of the country which get wasted by government there. One famous entrepreneuer got paid 100m euros to build a huge factory in an eastern state in Germany. He took the money, built the factory, closed down other factories in the western part and has now - thanks to the new factory paid by the taxpayers- less employees than before.

Jeez, I could rant for hours. But the German people deserve it. They even want more government intervention. I hope I will get out of here in the next 5 years.

Gorgeous George is another Kucinich-like socialist. Can we please stop pushing those people? Just because they're sincere in their Marxism doesn't mean that they'd make good leaders.

One problem the European nations have with getting true conservative principles in the limelight is that there is still a lot of actual lingering racism/anti-semitism/facism in those quarters. Everytime you try to find a real conservative party in Europe you end up digging up racist nonsense parties like the BNP.

Um. The government should avoid foreign entanglements, not necessarily private citizens.

Plus, so many people from the UK, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, etc help us out regularly. We can help out by digging a damn video...
