They need to hear something. Disillusionment among the average supporter is running rampant. This time last week for a similar event I had 30 people RSVPed.

...............

Its now Thursday and only 12 members have RSVP'ed "YES" for Saturday Birmingham Canvassing?? You have got to be joking me.

What is the problem? Are we disillusioned by Iowa and New Hampshire? Let me tell you, it was never their strategy to actually win those states, they only wanted to come in third (and we got hell of close to that both times). I have spent hours pouring over recent expenditure reports and we spent a total of $250,000 in TV advertising in New Hampshire in the month of December. Hell that is less than 1% of what we have raised!!!!

The point is we still have all our money. Our money is our pistol laying on the table. Our grassroots (you and I) is Dr. Paul's Full House. Guess what? The Good Doctor went all in. He essentially skipped the first caucus and primary. He is essentially skipping Michigan. He does not seem to be gearing up any $10million campaign for SC. He is going all in for Feb. 5th and we are the beneficiaries.

What does this mean for us? It puts a massive amount of responsibility on the grassroots to get the message out. That is why you need to commit to spending a few hours fighting for freedom. That is why you need to think of yourself as if you lived in New Hampshire last month.

I am new at this just like most everyone else. I am not 100% comfortable at canvassing just like most everyone else. But if I can anyone can, its just a matter of priorities. I really hope you are ready to make a difference. I really hope you are ready to volunteer just a slice of your time. I really hope you take me seriously when I say America, freedom, really needs you now.

RSVP Now; PLEASE!!!!:

Bump.

The campaign has something we don't - a strategy. I suggest we get one. Well that could take a while to develop.... Hmmm....Why don't we just USE THEIRS (http://voters.ronpaul2008.com/grassrootscentral.test/menu.php)!

I'm just going to keep bumping. I've kept writing encouraging threads, but people are more interested in gloom, doom and conspiracy right now.

So, you've got a positive thread here, and I'll feel less cheesy just randomly bumping yours!

All true.

Look at the money Mitt spent and the credibility he lost.
People are already saying Huck can only appeal to evangelicals.
We beat Rudy in Iowa and Fred Thompson in NH.
McCain is not a longterm threat, even if it comes down to Ron vs John, there are not enough Americans up for a 100yr (nevermind the 10,000yr he did mention) war.

Ron has spent nothing, picked up a couple of delegates and got some favorable press - CNN calling his 10% solid and Fox lying got some attention and got him on Leno where he gave a great performance.

It is up to us to push like crazy the next couple of primaries, try to get Ron a bit higher then nearer the end he will start to spend all the money.

Why waste money now to take down taxhikemike or Mitt when there is no certainty they will still be running in 3wks time? Save it until more people are actually paying attention and hopefully the field is a bit thinner - when it is Ron vs Rudy vs McCain it will become blindingly obvious Ron is the only sane one.

He has used similar tactics to win his congressional seat, sending out videos the week before the vote with Reagan and Milton Friedman talking about him. Who knows what he has planned this time?

We must just keep getting the info out there, flyers, door-to-door, ads in targeted magazines or local papers like they did in the NH county we won ... whatever we do - let Republicans know Ron is a real Republican and the only conservative choice.

Yeah, we have over 500 people in our MN Meetup, and I've noticed we only get around 2% - 5% of the members that actually come out and do stuff. The rest are just members that signed up I guess because they thought just being a member would be helpful? I don't know.
