A user posted this hbo special on here and it explains how the electronic voting machines have no paper trail.

The only way we can stop this vote fraud is electing local government officials who will ban the use of these machines and count ballots in a clear plastic box.

there is no way to leave a legitimate trail without compromising the secret ballot. any computer that can provide fraudulent returns can print and leave a paper "receipt" trail that is also fraudulent.

We can re-count the vote in NH..they had people place thier vote on a peive of paper and then slide it through a machine. We CAN get that paper ballots.

Ok. Let's forget about the other 47 states and put all of our focus on recounting NH.

Think about this. This is a long process we don't have time for right now.

yeah NH uses optical scan vote counting machines, like most states do, there is a paper that you fill out, so as long as they didnt shred them, you can compair the electronic total to the paper ballots people filled the bubbles in.

Um, its not going to waste OUR time.
#1, we would hire an indepentant company to do the recount
#2, insuring that that every vote is counted, is never a waste of time.
#3, how would you feel if you donated $200+ to the campaign only to have your vote not counted?

Couldn't the campaign hire an independent company, and spot check a few precincts? With as small as many NH precincts are, it should be very easy to recount votes in some of those areas, particularly where RP did poorly. So, just do those, with an independent company and one campaign rep to monitor that company.

It'd be simple, cheap, fast, and would indicate if we need to conduct a full recount

Cast your vote, receipt prints out with the name(s) you voted for. Voter confirms it's correct, stuffs paper into ballot box. Computer vote should exactly match paper box vote and it's the voter themselves that confirmed the paper receipt, anonymously.

agreed... this will also only add an additional 10-15 sec to the process at the most.

a recount is important because we can't just stand by and take blatant cheating. this is a country where everyone is supposedly treated equal.... the least we can ask for is a fair presidential election... c'mon all you people that think a recount is unimportant...

for everyone else, lets try and make it happen - read this (http://grannywarrior.chipin.com/recount-)

it's not that long of a process and a recount does not guarentee ignoring any of the other states at all... be careful, you ignorance is showing.

i agree, we need a little spot-recount for a couple precincts. why not commit a very small number of people to make this happen? Alex Jones said hed pay the $67,000 for a recount. you cant let them steal a little here and a little there. thats called "nickel and diming us to death"

I was referring to the touch screen ones.

Let's count the original vote ballots if we can.
