Calling all Louisiana RP supporters. We can win the delegates if we turn out. Every other campaign is completely ignoring this. Read the info on the RP website via the link above and get everyone out to the caucus!!!

Maybe no one reading here since the post went up lives in LO.

Wow, that's an interesting voting system. Choose delegates beforehand. If a candidate doesn't get majority in the primary, all delegates are unbound. Yeah, delegates are super important here, especially with how fragmented this race is.

Our local Meetup group in Baton Rouge ( GO LSU!!) is growing significantly and we have quite a few delegates applications filled out and turned in. Also I don’t know about other cities but Alexandria has a great Meetup group run by Jenn and they have the only RP billboard in the state, that I know of. I am pretty sure they are on top of it in there district. Side note this Saturday we are having a big rally at the LA state capitol including canvassing. We are also going to rally at the inauguration of the new governor on the 14th. I am not sure how many RP delegates have pledged, but I am sure I can get an approximation. Trust me our district in the Capitol city has a lot of great leaders doing everything we can to get the vote out.

I've never really thought of Louisiana as a normal bible belt state. It has too much history to be square :D

I got my 96 year old mother-in-law to register, and she's a stone cold Paulite. We'll be working in Houma Thibodaux, getting the votes for our team. I'm a delegate.

Can we get some of our Louisiana Natives Americans to vote for RP? I know they always go for Green Party.

Sad thing is for me, I wasn't registered to vote before Nov. 30th. The site didn't really make it clear, they posted Jan. 9th which is only for changing party. I thought i could, but just recently found out. Such a let down. I am registered now. I am trying to get my mom, who has been registered to vote, to cast her vote for me. She wasn't planning on even voting this election.

We have this taken care of.

Delegate application submissions ended 5 minutes ago.

At this point, it's a GOTV effort for RP supporters who are already registered Republican.

The Louisiana grassroots has this taken care of.

Please do not publicize this; we're trying to fly a bit under the radar. 'Nuff said.

I'm from Denham Springs, LA; just outside of Baton Rouge and I agree. I have heard turnout at the caucuses is low so if we keep ourselves quiet it will be much easier to dominate at the caucus. I am planning on going and have been talking to several friends and relatives about tagging along. Our best plan is to spread quietly by word of mouth and show up totally unexpectedly.

The problem with this is that other candidates are now blowing the trumpet loud and hard. It's also time to rally the RP troops to get to the caucus! It's no secret that a lot of McCain people will be at the Dist. 6 due to a lot of publicity from influential delegates. We must beat their arse!
