"Well, ok, but I ment supporting her as a congress woman."

Thats not nearly as amusing as my suggestion but it sounds like a good idea. Where does she live, and whats the political climate there?

Her would-be opponent is David Price, a hardcore Socialist in every way.

I used to live in that district. I ran as the Libertarian candidate in 2002. The district is so gerrymandered, that Price would have to be found with boys and goats, and even then he'd probably still win. The district includes Durham, home of the infamous Duke lacrosse case, Chapel Hill, North Carolina's most liberal town, and Carrboro, a town that calls itself "Paris of the Piedmont".

The only "conservative/libertarian" areas of the district are Western and Southern Wake County. As a Libertarian, I picked up 5-6% in some Southern Wake districts.

This man, and I use that term loosely, who has to take an oath to uphold the Constitution, told me that he knows that I know more about the Constitution and what it MEANT (he used MEANT) than him.

He admitted that he voted for the Patriot Act even when he had Constitutional questions about it.

He freely admits that spending tax dollars on things that he likes he "good policy".

He believes guns are illegal, and the Second Amendment is a "relic".

He stole $15 million from the American taxpayer to keep the 4th District "on the list" for federal funding for a light-rail system that was unneccesary. He also supported private land condemnation for the project that was stopped, thankfully. People that had their land stolen have never been compensated, nor have residents who had additional monies stolen through increased fees for auto registration and higher sales taxes.

The man is pure evil, a product of gerrymandering, and of the '64 Civil Rights Act which legalized dependency.

By all means, Rachel, run, and run as a Republican. I still have contacts inside the GOP up there, and I'll talk to them on her behalf if need be.

I think we need her helping Dr. Paul save the Republic, not diverted this time on another race. Let's keep our focus!
