Columnist falsely claims only McCain against torture: "But aside from John McCain, who to his credit echoed Gen. Petraeus (and was met with stony silence), the candidates spoke enthusiastically in favor of torture and against the rule of law."

Facts: Ron Paul was not directly ask about engaging in torture but did criticize others candidates for using "newspeak" to refer to torture as "enhanced interrogation techniques".

From Wikipedia: "John McCain and Ron Paul were the only candidates who said they were opposed to the use of torture, rejecting the concept of "enhanced interrogation techniques"."
