This is for those of you out there who know Ron Paul like the back of your hand.

Michael Moore recently posted a couple of videos on Youtube asking questions to each candidate. I was wanting to know what people in here think Ron Paul would say in response to Michael's questions...

Ron Paul's stand on socialized healthcare is completely different from Michael Moore's. Also, Michael Moore while he sometimes has stands I agree with, is IMHO an idiot.

Michael Moore did learn how to speak our language, I think we should give him credit for that. English is pretty hard, and not all people can be fluent in it.

Our healthcare system is broken, IMO. However, you don't fix it by adding more of the thing that broke it in the first place.... government interference and control.

Michael Moore and I agree on 2 things. George Bush is an idiot that cheated to get elected and lied to get into war, and that the country, on the whole, has a societal problem.
He's just a bit extreme for myself to thoroughly enjoy, and that turns away a lot of people.

Well, that and he tends to cling to a solution even if its the wrong solution. Then, anyone that says there is a problem, but his way is the wrong way to solve it, he bashes.

I really hope his questions do not get into the debate. There are a lot of people who voice could be heard, last thing we need is public celebrities getting the questions.

To the first question Ron Paul would probably say that we shouldn't even have a congressional health care plan.

Does anyone know if Dr. Paul uses this plan or not?

The "until we have universal health care" part is moot since of course Dr. Paul doesn't support Moore's notion of universal health care. However, I imagine he'd point out his general objection to entitlements and the fact he already refuses the pension and returns part of his salary, refused medicare and medicaid and instead treated people for free, etc. I actually think he'd love this question as it gives him a great place to jump off talking about the notion of individual sacrifice for principle and charity.

I doubt he'd answer this one the way Moore wants because he is a private person and supports individual privacy and it's none of Moore's business. The health of the candidate is the people's business but Dr. Paul has other responses to that which don't have to involve listing the contents of his bathroom or wallet. He might answer it with a talk about privacy, or he might go after Moore's real point which is that the ruling class is rich and doesn't have to worry about paying for things like the povery class does. This of course would provide a great opportunity to talk about his own modest means (heck just compare the Q2 expenditures lists) and even better, the inflation tax.

I imagine the answers would be somewhat like:

Video 1: Answer - Yes, I will not use Government health care until a similar plan is in place for every American. Caveat - However, no coverage will not be expanded to include all Americans. I would rather rely on the free market to provide health care for myself and all Americans. We would get a higher quality for a lower cost.

Video 2: I am not on any special medications and spend no $$ every month for them. My lifestyle choices of diet and exercise have resulted in such a condition. It would be unjust to tax me to pay for the health care of someone who has not made similar choices just as it would be unjust for me to prevent them or force them to make such choices. We all should have the freedom and liberty to make our own choices but we must accept the consequences of those choices.

We really need more intelligent answers and less "idiot" from idiots. Keep the talk civil debate, not low brow insults.
