I think the tactic of presumptiousness works on less informed/involved voters, the type that show up in droves to vote in some dumb shit like McCain or Romney because Fox News told them to.

We should use the same tactic in our pitch. Say something like,

---------
"The Democrats idea of fixing health care is more government control, Ron Paul understands that the only way to fix health care is to give people the freedom to choose for themselves what doctors and treatments to use. 'We' can beat the Democrats because the American people know that more government doesn't work. It is important that us Republicans communicate clearly to the American people and not go further down the road to government control and national bankruptcy.

We would like to, if possible, pick you up on [date] for the Ron Paul vote drive. One of our Ron Paul teams will be in the area at that time and can pick you up. So would you be available for 1 hour on [date] to vote for Ron Paul in the primary?"
------------

I really think this approach would work better for less informed voters who decide more on emotion. They may object to voting for Ron Paul, but at least at this point in the sales pitch, the confidence has been projected and authority and momentum created, and it becomes a lot easier to overcome their objections and convince them on the specific issues.

And one more thing, go after old people. They're the bread and butter of elections.
