The candidates may be losing some control...but it is often their own words that are getting recorded and put on YouTube so I wouldn't call that loss of control due to the medium, because they still should have the ability to control their own mouths!

The real loss of control is for the traditional media. Candidates like Ron Paul are able to bring their message directly to the people. We can go to YouTube and watch entire speeches rather than have to rely on the media for carefully chosen soundbites.
