In order to vote in the Republican caucus in Nevada, you had to be a registered Republican by December 19. After looking at the exit polls from NH, it looks like Ron Paul does better with independents than Republicans. Will this hurt Paul, or will Nevada's freedom loving citizens give Ron Paul the win?

turnout will be abysmal in nevada cause all the press will go to south carolina, and it's the first time neva caucuses so that'll eliminate a lot of people

Long as our turnout is good, and we keep everyone informed that it's a caucus we got a fighting chance

The Mormon mafia controls Nevada, you can damn well bet they have the GOP caucus by the nuts. Think Wyoming.

Nevada is our firewall. You guys have to win one, when all of the other candidates are concentrating on South Carolina.

We need a breakthrough somewhere, even if it's only a top-three finish or 20% of the vote. Give it everything you've got.

Not so much.

It's a factor but not THE factor. Demographically Romney's mormons should take certain neighborhoods and certain precincts but they won't be able to overrun the whole state.

Nevada is having it's first ever caucus. This is a huge plus for us. Nevada has also never been this early in the primary season before. Also a big plus for us. A good bunch of the natives aren't even going to know it's going on until they see the results in the paper.

The closed caucus is the big negative. It's going to shut out a lot of casino workers who'd we could drag out just on the tips issue.

I think people living in NV would love to have no tax on tips and also bringing back online gambling.

Are any of you guys in NV. I switched from independent to Republican just for the caucus but it doesn't seem cheery. I have no clue if there any delegates in precinct that support RP.

RonPaulGeorge&Ringo, do you have any experience trying to convince Mormon's to vote for Ron Paul? Our experience here in Iowa was very positive. As a Mormon and a relatively recent resident of Nevada, I'm telling you and any Nevadan that will listen that Latter Day Saints could be our greatest allies in electing Ron Paul!

Have you signed up with Nevada4RonPaul.com yet?

If you get with a meetup group you can get a walklist through votetracker.com or you can get a walklist through the campaign's Precinct Captain program.

What you've got to do is walk/phone your precinct and get the folks out there to vote for YOU for delegate at the caucus. You don't have to tell them you are for Ron Paul :D 5-7 votes should be enough to win a delegate spot at your county convention.

PM me if you need more info.

Nevada has 34 delegates.

South Carolina only 24.
Michigan only 30, after the penalty for moving early.

Let's get 'er done!

Good luck -- I hope some of your new friends are state GOP officials.

So this is another good reason to heavily concentrate on Michigan. Knock Romney out by Nevada and we could scoop alot of votes from Mormon voters? Nice.

We here in Nevada feel Ron Paul has a great chance here in Nevada. Many MANY of us are going to run as delegates.

The Republican caucus is at 9am on Staturday - I canvass every week and find a lot of people are confused as this is our first caucus and many will not show up - EXCEPT us Ron Paul people.

Any Nevadans out there - call Ron Paul Nevada Headquarters ( Sahara Ave ) 430-1407 to find out how to be a delegate - go to www.ronpaullv.com for video training as well.

Its easy - we can do this!!!

Check with Nevada HQ 702-430-1407 to see if there is any help in your precinct. Download the voter list from the voter contact system (HQ will tell you how) and start calling or walking this weekend.
