The primary for Florida is January 29. We do have the blimp flying over South Carolina on election day, January 19. However, on the day of the Florida primary, the blimp will be flying over Tennessee -- election day in Tenessee is 2/05/2008.

Is there any way we can get the blimp to flyover Florida during election day? Plus it will be in Georgia in the days leading up to it anyways.

This is a political advertising marvel, and, in my view, given how important and populated Florida is, Ron Paul's interests would be served best by having the blimp over Florida on the 1 day that politics is on everyone's mind.

Who thinks this is a good idea to help Dr. Paul win Florida?

Yeah, it's gotten such great publicity in FL, why fix what ain't broke? FL is a really important state, and if we can do ANYTHING to slow down Guliani, that would be great.

Generally speaking, I don't like to comment on other people's pet projects, but it seems that the blimp is doing a fine job in Florida, a state where we need all the help we can get.

Keep up the good work blimpsters, and enjoy the balmy FL weather.

Yeah, I'd agree these are great things to consider, we have to go all out in Florida - the result on 1.29 will provide validation for the twenty state insanity just one week later.

I think a slight deviation is in order as well from Columbus Georgia they should continue onward to the Florida panhandle...Tallahassee, Panana City, Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola - then Mobile which votes the day after...

or go direct to Miami, up the coast to the Florida panhandle...Tallahassee, Panana City, Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola - then Mobile which votes the day after...then up through Alabama 1/29, then Tennessee

then Illinois has 70 delegates - Chicago
Missouri has 48 St Louis, Kansas City
Oklahoma has 41 Tulsa, Oklahoma City
all have more than arkansas 34 - which will vote huckabee anyway. :( but between St Louis and Oklahona - you do overfly Walmart Headquarters - I think that has a viral element potentially

Thanks for those maps. I think the maps speak for themselves in terms of population density. We're talking about VOTES here. That is the most important thing right now- to get more votes for Ron Paul.

Besides, you'll be in Columbus, GA anyways. It is really not that far of a hike.

Plus, after people have already seen the blimp over stadiums, I'm sure the word has spread. It has given voters more time to "Google Ron Paul". What better way to seal the deal than by giving those that missed the blimp a chance to be reminded of the good Doctor's freedom message! We may even get more donations as a result -- which we know the blimp, the campaign, and the grassroots desperately need.

We are now planning to be over Florida for the primaries there...right now our funding runs out the day before the South Carolina primaries. :-)

We have about a week to raise the down payment of $151,810. Save the blimp and send it back to Florida!

The blimp should unload $5,000 in one dollar bills over every city it flies over. That $5,000 would really kick up a storm of media coverage.. well worth $5,000 and we could say it signifies the "falling dollar" of our endangered economy. We could stamp them all with "BLIMP FALLING DOLLAR vote for Ron Paul for president 2008". They would be collectible. Imagine if everyone knew that the blimp would always do this in every city it visited. Many people would track the blimp just to grab some loot. Imagine all the people telling their stories to each other of how they got their "blimp dollars". Imagine the way the word would spread with all those stamped dollars out there in circulation saying:

"BLIMP FALLING DOLLAR vote for Ron Paul for president 2008"

We HAVE to get tons of people TALKING about RON PAUL in FLORIDA. This idea can WORK.

If we don't raise $36,000 in the next SIX HOURS, the Blimp is HISTORY!
