Carville Denies Joining Hillary Team

Democratic strategist James Carville has emphatically denied a Fox News report asserting that he is joining Hillary Clinton presidential campaign team.

A report filed midday Tuesday by Major Garrett on Fox stated: “It’s back to the future at Hillary Clinton’s campaign as some of the top advisers to former President Clinton are set to join Hillary’s faltering campaign as early as tomorrow.

“Senior Clinton sources tell Fox that Hillary intends to bring in as top day-to-day advisers James Carville and Paul Begala. The campaign could also add other strategists from Clinton’s presidential years, but Carville and Begala are the biggest names and are set to join the campaign after a post-New Hampshire strategy meeting tomorrow.”

But blogger Greg Sargent, writing on the site TPM Election Central, says that when he called Carville on his cell phone, Carville told him:

"Fox was, is and will continue to be an asinine and ignorant network. I have not spoken to anyone in the Clinton campaign about this. I have not done domestic political consulting since President Clinton was elected. I'm not getting back into domestic political consulting. If I do go back, it would be safe to say that I'm the biggest liar in America."

Asked if he knew if Begala would join Hillary’s team, Carville responded: "To the extent that I know anything, as of nine this morning, no he is not."

I like this guy. No clue who he is, but I like him.

And he's literally in bed with a top Republican strategist. (At least he was. . .and she was- don't know current status of either)

Personally, he's always annoyed me.

He is Billy Bob Thorton and Billy Bob Thorton is he... in the movie anyways. But yeah, he's a socialist muck-raker who thrives on negative campaigning.

He is also a political genius. Perhaps the best there ever was. His handling of the Clinton campaign -- particularly against Bush Sr. -- was like watching a modern-day Sun Tzu at work.

I would trade a dozen Kent Snyder's for a single Carville.

It's related to FOx BSing the people again, primarily the NH voters. It's applicable in my head.

James Carville ran Bill Clinton's campaign the first time around. Clinton's win was attributed to him. He's been a Clinton supporter for decades. He's a hard-core democrat and his wife Mary Matlin is a die hard republican, worked in few republican campaigns as well.

Carville like him or not, is a real character, funny as hell to watch.

I'll rephrase... I like his quote.

After looking him up, yes I knew who he was, just by his face and speech, not his name. I'm nto as young as I thought.

Now my back and joints hurt. Thanks. =)

Carville (like him or not) is the main reason Clinton was elected. How great to hear he is not joining with the bitch. I for one propose a carvillebomb to see if we could get him on our side. I'm in for $100 if he would be our adviser.

I like Carville. He's like a cajun grinch type charactor. I totally disagree with his positions though.

How does somebody on a political message board not know who James Carville is?

If Carville was on Ron Paul's campaign we would be polling twice what we are now, and every smear against Paul would be answered in minutes, not hours/days like the campaign is doing now.

I'm sure I know who Mr. Carville is if I saw him, I do know his work, I just can't picture him right now.
I agree with getting him on the Paul team, I just don't think he'd do it. Could help his career to try some honest work though.

I agree. He will expose the FAKE and HYPE of Obama. Obama is nothing but a media creation. He voted 380 billion towards the war and voted for the patriot act.

He's more of the same. Not change.

I just looked at a pic on line. I do remember his face, and that dude has some strange breading...lol
Would be great to have him on our team though. Hell, I might even respect him a little if he joined us... and did a good, honest job.

I sure wouldn't be opposed to it but as the man himself says:

"I'm not getting back into domestic political consulting. If I do go back, it would be safe to say that I'm the biggest liar in America."

Meaning, he has absolutely NO desire to join a campaign.

I was sort of joking. He will be supporting clinton on the side, I am sure. Helping them attack Obama's FAKE change record. Which is really just like Hillary's.
