If we ALL wrote something to this effect on our windshields, the name recognition problem would go away rather quickly. Think about how many people we pass in the other lane of traffic! And it doesn't block your vision.

All it takes is some of these window markers at your local party store. Only $1.90 each. It cleans off really easy.

I just got my markers to light up the vehicles for the Saprtanburg trip :D

Every bit counts. Thanks for the great pic. I'll have plenty of pics on Sunday to post on my site (sig).

You might want to do the rear window instead of the front, people see your back end most often.

why windshield? The rear window is a much better spot

How 'bout writing that backwards at the top of your windshield, so people looking in their rear view mirrors can read it??

I have it on the front and the back. So many people see the front! I see their heads turning. :) This is for the other lane of traffic. If you drive mostly on highways, maybe backwards is better.

I think if you write it frontwards on the inside of the windshield it will appear backwards on the outside, but I could be wrong.

I am convinced that homemade signs and things like writing on your windshield, etc., are more effective than the professional "Vote For" signs. I don't even look at things like that anymore...totally block them out. But when I see something like what you guys did, I strain to see what it is. Same thing with handmade, non-professional signs....I want to know what they say.

Is it just me or ?

I agree 100%, but professional signs do have their purpose. We wouldn't want Ron standing in front of a bunch of home made signs at a press event.

ebAlthough that'd work, the tinting may not allow the lettering to be seen.

But it is an effective template to get it right with lettering the exterior.

Good idea but what about writing it backwards like an ECNALUBMA :)

Be wary about writing anything on your front windshield.

This may be illegal in some states... aka "Obstruction of driver's view."

I've gotten a ticket for this before. My advice is to do it on the sides or on the back.

Oddball

That's why I recommended doing the writing along the top.

Sorry, quick question.

How do you insert an image straight onto a post?

Any help would be appreciated.

I only have a bumper sticker :(

If you use http://Imageshack.us they give you the forum code to make it display. Thats the easiest way.

I took my ronpaul2008.com stencil that I used for my 4th of July overnight signs and painted it on the back window and on the front windshield (in reverse). I get lots of looks and "who's ron paul?'s" Next I'm going to stencil the Ron Paul Revolution on both side windows.

I drove through three states with this and saw police in each state. One of the officers even smiled at me. These were NH, Vermont and Maine. I think as long as you have it high enough and not blocking your view you'll be fine. I wonder which states, if any, it is illegal. Especially not blocking your view.

Is it subversive to promote the constitution? Are we insurgents?
