It's messed up, I've tried voting 5 times and can't get it to work.

Me too. Jesus it's frustrating. I hate AOL.

Anyone think that if I were voting differently it'd be easy?

Heh, I hate to think like that, but Jesus.

It works now, but they went back to the comments from 2 weeks ago. I guess they didn't like the very first post, which I wrote !

Anyway, be sure to help out Kucinich on the Democrat side. Ron Paul likes him.

Always break links to online polls! Please break the link! Otherwise, the poll edits out ron paul votes. We've seen this happen time & time again, like on today's MSNBC poll where Ron mysteriously 'lost' a few thousand votes.

ValidusCustodiae

It's still broken, i've tried voting about 30 times and it just brings me back to where I choose a candidate again after I submit my state. Over, and over, and over.

It worked fine for me.

Paul is ahead in total votes, but not nearly as many states. This is their Jan 7 -14th poll.

Ditto. Anyone care to name the current results? Not that I really care much anymore. I'm just gnashing my teeth fretting over today's primary placement for Ron.

AOL polls are retarded. What's the point of having a poll if you're gonna dump all the votes?

Paul is 5th in the poll. Just like Iowa and New Hampshire. He has Wyoming (already caucused) and Alaska though. Looks like the McCain fans are out in full force.

Well, it is a weekly poll. Keep on tryin'. Perseverence does seem to tend to pay off.<IMHO> ( Unless it's now rigged against RP. )

It's BS we are really losing, who cares anyway, we need to get off the internet!

It is clear to me that they have change the names around - they put MCcain info in Pauls, and Pauls in MCcain - that is also how MCcain (The Warmongering Phony) won in NH - this is my opinion.

I'm telling you guys; we killed the last aol poll; we started killing this one; they shut it down for 'maintenence'; now, the results look like they came straight from fox news.

OK something is wrong with this poll. I highly doubt Mccain got that many votes, and we're in 5th place...come on people.

they can't even handle Ron Paul winning a lame ass straw poll.

Sorry to be the reality police, but the straw poll is probably fairly accurate right now. McCain is doing well with momentum from NH, Hucks winning the south, Guiliani is ahead in Flordia and New York.

Bottom line, we need to get of the internet and get votes. Sitting and bitching about how things are rigged (which they very well might be) does not do us any good. Plus, if they are not and we are losing momentum on the internet we have to get out there and fight for it back.

it's not registering my vote .. keeps asking me to do it over and over again

That's because you have to leave a space when you type in the letters at the bottom. You will see 3 characters to the left and 4 to the right.. The problem is, people don't put a space there and that's why it doesn't work for people.. LEAVE A SPACE !! and it will work fine.

Updated poll numbers.

McCain 26%
Giuliani 19%
Huckabee 19%
Romney 14%
Paul 13%
Thompson 8%

Not good.

Ron Paul won this poll by a landslide.
AOL reset the poll and Ron Paul was still winning.

it's obvious that AOL doesn't want Ron to win so I'd just stop giving AOL the traffic.

Watch the URL you are using to access the poll.

If you use the wrong one it doesn't work properly. It should NOT have Dec in the URL.

ETA: this is the right URL: http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/01/07/aol-straw-poll-jan-7-14/
