Alright people we went to a Rudy event in cedar rapids yesterday. The iowa independent sent out two people to cover the Rudy event and one of them decided to do an article on us. I told him you'd definetely see an increase in traffic for this. :) He did a great job on this article.

Do us proud internet brigade, digg it, post this on any other other forums, comment on it, whatever you people do.

That's me holding the no nation building sign. :)

They also posted a pretty negative article on Rudy we have new friends :)

Yeah the first article is great I urge you all to spread this article anywhere want them to see a big bump in readership out of this as I'm sure they will be friends of ours down the road as well. I don't have time to do that I already have plenty on the table.

Here's another gem from the same paper and website:

Next thing you know, 9/11 will be blamed for the Yankees sucking this year. ;)

Yeah it was fun times at the event there was alot of traffic on the street got lots of honks by people passing by. Even had two old guys flick us off that was entertaining. Going in had no idea how it would turn out but we were able to stand across the street from the event and if they looked out the window of the restaurant he was and they could see us holding our signs and nobody bothered us as well.

It's kind of wierd but I've noticed that some people just flick off anyone standing along the road with signs even if they have no idea what the signs say. Some people are just strange I guess, oh well.

I can't wait to hit the streets like you folks did. Our meet-up group just started 2 &1/2 weeks ago. Our first meet-up was one week in and had 5 people attend, now we have 26 members just a week and a half later! :D

Rudy only had ~120 people at the event :p . That's pretty pathetic for what I assume was a planned campaign stop.

The bulk of Giuliani's relatively brief visit - 55 minutes from arrival to departure -- was devoted to one on one conversations and autographs. While the event was billed as focusing on energy independence, the crowd of 60 seated patrons and as many more standing folks was more interested in health care.

actually, something like this just happened yesterday in Pekin, IL (right outside Peoria) Rudy's IL team had a rally at the Pekin Rep Headquarters, and a couple of our local meetup groups went out and distributed RP material and spoke with people. From what i hear, it went really well and even got some local media attention. I havent seen it yet, but if i find it i'll try to youtube it. (well not me, but someone that knows how) lol

I know omaha had a handful of people out for his stop in sioux falls. I tried to get others out in sioux city, waterloo, and davenport but not sure if they made it out for it. Yeah if you know any info about that illinois event let me know.

I heard the Omaha group also had a delegation across the river in Council Bluffs (Iowa) when Giuliani was there this week.
