WASHINGTON - President Bush will undergo a "routine" colonoscopy Saturday and temporarily hand presidential powers over to Vice President Dick Cheney, White House press secretary Tony Snow said.

Snow told reporters Friday that Bush will have the procedure done at his Camp David, Md., mountaintop retreat.

The last time Bush had colon and rectal cancer surveillance was on June 29, 2002. Doctors then advised him to have another colonoscopy in five years.

alright... this is just too much...

i'm about to make a thread about the [pending] crisis. last time, I used a date just as an attention grabber and partially due to the abundance of crazy funk gathering around that particular day (have come across more since, but quite updating it). I was told that if the date came and passed I would look stupid... i'm not terribly concerned. But for the sake of discussion, and for those of superior intellect to myself, the specifics of a date will be dropped, and the focus instead will revolve around the current crzy happenings... beginning with this one.

I think it's more like people who are scared shitless. WAY too much going on right now to even keep track.

A couple of other things to note. Rawstory didn't start posting really scary stories until a couple of months ago. Even DailyKos (gatekeeper, if ever there was one) is now allowing all kinds of "conspiracy" posts. Heck, I even saw one on Crooks and Liars the other day.
