Mike Huckabee wants to amend the Constitution to prevent children born in the U.S. to illegal aliens from automatically becoming American citizens, according to his top immigration surrogate — a radical step no other major presidential candidate has embraced.

WHAT IN THE HELL?

My letter to the writer....

Stephen,

Your article at the Washington Times website (http://washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080108/NATION/311698216/1001) just grates me the wrong way. Please do some research before you write such articles. If you would spend even a few minutes researching this topic, you will see that Ron Paul has been wanting to end "Birthright Citizenship" for some time now. In fact, if you watch the Ron Paul interview on Meet The Press, they actually talk about this. And this interview was aired December 23!

So please stop stating the facts, "...a radical step no other major presidential candidate has embraced." before you research them!

Supporter of the constitution,
Joel

Well, remember the article in the NYT about the "secret meetings" between Paul and the neo-nazis? the backlash was so great they had to recant.

Same medicine applies here, IMO.

Just sent this:
It sure would be nice if one journalist had the capacity to do investigative reporting instead of opinion writing. Ron Paul has been against birthright citizenship from the start. Huckabee thinks he can parrot Ron Paul's platform and we are all just going to flock to him in droves.

Americans are tired of biased journalism. There has only been one primary election held and we are tired of being told the outcome of the election before most votes are even cast, so save your major candidate sound bytes. By the way, just exactly how much money did Huckabee bring in in the fourth quarter???Oh, I forgot, for the first time that is no longer a measure of a candidates support base.

For your edification here is a link to Ron Paul's website so you can educate yourself:http://www.ronpaul2008.com/
You can find Dr.Paul's stance on the issues under the issues section...

Have a nice day

Think they are qualifying stance by "major" candidate...
