I am not saying it will be easy but the only way we can get Ron Paul the money he needs to win this election (since we cant just print it) is to go door to door and ask for it. Let’s face it; there are more democrats than republicans now because of this war and most democrats want out of the war. Considering this we should go door to door and give as little information as needed to get people to donate to Ron Paul on the basis that he is the only candidate that will get the Troops out of Iraq. If they don’t ask do not even offer the information that he is a republican candidate. If they are skeptical of his chances against big named candidates mention that he has the support of young people and raised almost $20m on the internet last quarter. Do not expect that random people will want to learn about free market economics or other important issues that Ron Paul brings up, most people are dummies with check books and will be turned away by such arguments. No amount is to small, we just need to collect checks made directly out to the Ron Paul campaign and then mail them all in. If they do not want to give the money to you to mail in hand them an envelop pre filled out and ready to be mailed for them to put the check in. Do everything you can to make it easy for someone to impulsively donate some money. Be determined and understand that at least half the people will not want to talk to you at all and 30% of the people that do talk to you will scowl at the anti-war stance. To this you can try to recover with the anti-tax issue but it is usually a lost cause. The neo-cons will not donate money to us anyway.

Door to door solicitation will make people angry.

I agree, It might simply be better to teach people in your area about Dr. Paul and his stances. If they agree and want to support him the donations will more than likely follow on thier own.
