Anyone have any sneek peeks or inside info how the appearance on The Tonight Show went?

The interview went great. About half the audience was there for him. It's two segments right in the middle of the show.

Already read it but it still hasn't satisfied my Youtube fix.

Dr. Paul was articulate and confident. I wish he would speak that well in the debates.

Gained more support than if he were on the Fox forum.

It was fantastic. Let's all be on the lookout for voting fraud tomorrow. TAKE SCREENSHOTS AND DVR ALL MAJOR MEDIA.

Paul did not look super-comfortable in front of the camera, but damn if he did not look genuine. Really, a great interview and with solid messaging. He had an almost grandfatherly appearance, which can be both good and bad, but Leno treated him really well. Net-net, this helped the campaign easily.

Incredible interview, but I feel like he missed an opportunity to blow the Federal Reserve scam wide open. He could have very quickly explained the concept of fractional reserve banking and how it affects inflation, but he kind of went off on a weird tangent about 'politicians'....

Banking and economics is an exceptionally complex topic that violates most peoples' intuitions of it. I am actually quite skeptical of some of Dr. Paul's apparent positions though I understand where he is coming from. People understand inflation because it affects them directly, but they do not understand monetary policy because it only impacts ForEx traders and bond markets directly.

The art of communication is hiding as much of the technical complexity as possible. People understand inflation is bad, so you can sell it easily. The nuance of monetary policy is not something that you can sell in a soundbite to a media that isn't listening, so it must be framed in terms of inflation. An interesting argument could be made that the Federal Reserve should be replaced with a model more like the EU with respect to monetary policy, where each state is allowed to control a portion of the currency.

A person I know online just from writing some blogs and doing a little business together and stuff, was IMing me. And I said " Sorry, i'm watching Ron Paul on Leno, Get back to you later."

I had never mentioned politics to this guy in any way, really. He used to wrestle. So I mentioned Kane earlier today. I didn't even mention even supporting RP myself.

later out of the blue he IMs " Ron Paul was awesome on Leno. He wasn't a fake unfunny ass like the rest of those guys."

I think his genuine behavior and demeanor appeals to a lot of people who can't stand the phony political BS.

People who pick candidates based on "'tv looks" have severe mental illness IMHO.

It was his best few minutes on television ever. I think the real star was Leno, he's getting a thank you letter from me.
