In the GOP race, SurveyUSA shows Mike Huckabee way ahead of his rivals with 36%, followed by Mitt Romney at 19%, Sen. John McCain at 17%, Fred Thompson at 11% and Rudy Giuliani at 9%. Huckabee is up 8 points in three weeks, all other candidates are effectively flat or down.

On Eve of NEW HAMPSHIRE Primary, Huckabee is Only Republican with Momentum in SOUTH CAROLINA: In a Republican Primary for President of the United States in South Carolina today, 01/07/08, twelve days to the vote, Republican Mike Huckabee is 2:1 atop challengers Mitt Romney and John McCain, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for WCSC-TV Charleston and WSPA-TV Greenville. Today, after Iowa and before New Hampshire, it's Huckabee 36%, Romney 19%, McCain 17%, Fred Thompson 11%, Rudolph Giuliani 9% and Ron Paul 5%. Compared to a SurveyUSA tracking poll released 3 weeks ago, before Christmas and before Iowa, Huckabee is up 8 points, all other candidates are effectively flat or down. Upstate, Huckabee leads by 22. In the Midlands, he leads by 16. In the Low Country, he leads by 14. South Carolina Republicans think the next President should focus on Immigration ahead of all other issues. On Immigration, Huckabee and Romney had been tied, Huckabee now leads. Among Republicans who say the Economy is most important, Huckabee's support has quintupled over the past 60 days and he is now 2:1 preferred over all others.

43% Might Change Their Mind: 2,250 South Carolina adults were interviewed 01/04/08 through 01/06/08, all interviews conducted after the Iowa Caucuses on 01/03/08 and before the New Hampshire Primaries on 01/08/08. 1,953 of those interviewed were registered to vote in South Carolina. Of them, 658 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the 01/19/08 Republican Primary. 43% of SC likely voters say they could change their mind before the SC Primary, significantly higher than the percent of SC Democrats who say they may change their mind. Among the comparatively few SC GOP voters who say they made up their mind after Iowa, Huckabee leads Romney 41% to 10%.

Here is information from the crosstabs I've been ranting about (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=80038):
Paul at 5% statewide, 6% among men, 4% among women, 5% whites, 0% of blacks, 23% of hispanics, 3% other, 5% of Republicans, 20% of Democrats, 6% of independents, 4% of conservatives, 8% of moderates, 17% of liberals, 42% of those for whom the environment is their top issue, etc.

If you are in SC print out both Llepard ads and make a trip to the paper machine in the morning. Put the ads in every paper manually.

Go go go!

Paul has 42% of those with environment as main concern?

You sure? What is this? His private property stance or the dumping of toxics in SC?
