For a few months I've been doing searchs trying to find out why Bush or Cheney haven't already been impeached. It seems there have been a number of people calling for it but nothing ever comes of it.
With George McGovern writing that he believes it's time for impeachment hearings it's brought the subject into the public eye to a greater extent. His article can be found here, though it was on CNN's site yesterday and mentioned by Jack Cafferty this evening....

I don't mean to 'muddy the waters' here when this forum is dedicated to the campaign and election of Ron Paul but just in case you're interested, Senator Wexler from Florida is going to call for the impeachment of Richard Cheney on January 15. From what I've understood, the idea is to impeach Cheney rather than Bush because if Bush is impeached, Cheney steps in as president.
Whether or not it's too late to impeach, perhaps it's still possible for Cheney and the Bush government's actions to be brought in front of the American people through the main stream media.
If this post is inappropriate in this forum, please just delete it and accept my apologies. However, if you are interested, Senator Wexler needs 250,000 signatures in order to gain the support of other senators and congressmen. He's at about 182,000 presently.
